Anyone getting cut off opioid scripts in the USA?

I've been reading FB groups specifically tailored for opioid use discussions and seeing people commenting they are getting cut off for their Oxycotin, and other opioid scripts. Scripts that are legit from their MD's or NP-c's due to the FDA knocking on doctors doors and either scaring them with loss of med license or arresting them for writing opioid scripts. Anyone experienced this? I am in Colorado, take oxy and k pins and have not had any issues after finding the right doc. My last bitch of a doc cut me off saying she'd only prescibe me one or the other as I couldn't have both (Yeah I know all about the contraindications mixing oxys and benzos, blah blah blah,) I been on them for years with no problems. I had to shop around and find a new doc which I found but it took 6 fkn months and many docs would not even consider scripting those two together. In fact many wouldn't even script either fkn one by itself! So I considey my old ass lucky. But now I am unsure if there is an current aggressive attack on MD's who script opioids, no matter what the patient has, from cancers to chronic pain. '

Anyone else heard of this from people they know personally or themelves getting yanked off their opiod script? Im posting this because I don't rely on anything coming off of the socialmedia sites and have not heard of anyone here in Colorado (USA) that I know that's been cut off.

my father failed a drug test for weed in a state where weed is legal and they took him off oxys... i dunno if he can search different doctors... i'm from the east coast US.

Thats bs. my doc is pro mj, legal or not, but CO is a legal state.

I've seen alot on social media about people being cut off. Glad i live in Canada

That's all I've seen, just on social media but no one I know personally and locally in CO has mentioned it. Strange shit.

The Doctor Patient Forum

Pain Relief Shouldn't Be A Crime

We speak the truth the media ignores; pain patients are being abandoned, forced off opioids, and ignored. We provide the education, resources, and community they need to fight back, and we support the providers willing to stand with them.

So because your doctor doesn't do it you're calling others liars? So we should believe you but no one else?
No, not at all am I calling anyone liars. Only saying that I do not KNOW anyone in my small circle of people who had the same experience as me or what is happening to others in what I've been reading online.

I posted this because I haven't heard of any cut-offs in my region (from friends or friends of friends) and I worry I will soon to be cut off. As I once was cut off but was determined to spend months doctor shopping, getting red flagged as "doctor shopping" and labeled OUD (Opioid Use Disorder) by one jackass doctor. And not that is all in my medical records - for life. So now no matter where I go that stands out and the only place i can get opioids ( and probably my benzos) is from my prescribing PCP) And if If she gets threatened by the FDA and stops scripting? I'm fckd.

About six years ago this was happening a lot in the DC area and Maryland Virginia. After six or seven years with my spine doctor they stopped everything. This was before the fetynal problem. It was the oxygen problem making the news then. I wish I could find a doctor but it became impossible for me. I have friends in the same situation.

I hope things work out good for you.

I meant oxy problem.

My only hope is legal intervention but are any large groups of lawyers going to take on big govs alphabet gangs ( DEA, ATF, etc) I was hoping for some type of a Class Action Lawsuit going after the FDA as they are intimidating good honest doctors into basically ignoring their patients needs. Forced Malpractice under duress methods.

Once people are cut off. many will and have headed to the streets. Whats most available? Fck, I really don;t know, I'm 67 years old but I can guess its fentanyl. And who knows what they are really getting? And then comes the overdoses.

Germinating opioid seeds (Papaver Somniferum) is very hard to grow yourself, yields are terribly small and buyin the seeds or pods online are risky and super expensive. You'll mostly just get ripped off and never see your money. The overseas market (for us in America) are a rare option and who knows what the fk you'll get, once again. Yeah you can test strip them but it still a roll of the dice.

So if all the docs who are willing to write scripts get jailed, get their licenses taken or retire ust due to threats whats left to do? Suboxone is what they are pushing and IMO that stuff is shit and it one of the worst withdrawals known to man. Not to mention it rots your teeth and the rest of your bones. Sorry but I'm not riding the suboxone train, no fkn way.

So whats the solution? I have none. And I worry every month I go to get my script.

I am sorry for your issues. What do you do now to manage your pain? And your friends? What are they doing?

And btw, after being cut off from my first spineless docturd' , I found a new doctor - after 5-6 month of appts and she is ok scriptig my oxy and benzos. At least for now. I think the women NP-C's may be the best providers to script oxys. I read it on a chart, it may have been in this forum. Or the very old MD's have sympathy too, but most of them are just throwing in the towel and retiring. They made their money and don't need the bullcrap....can't blame them really. The US healthcare system is a shithole and nothing but a huge cash cow for the bigwig clowns wearing suitcoats. Thieves.

I agree. Back then probably 8 years ago the doctors were getting pushed and rewarded for writing oxy scripts. I had to go to the streets. And your absolutely right. I'm 60 and have some decent friends that knew were to go.

But now, as you pointed out it's hard to know what you get. The fetynal is a huge problem and this xylozine? stuff. Yeah it's dangerous, as well as expensive. I appreciate what I've read here. I am going to try again to find pharmaceuticals. It's so much safer.

Luckily the UK hasn't got this problem. I think it's a disgrace when federal agents are influencing doctors on how to do their job! DEA agents aren't doctors. I feel for you guys :(

Your are lucky for having 1 doctor prescribing 1 of those lol, in EU you will need psychiatrist + algesiologic ambulance to provide u with these and at least 1-2 options tried for months before they are willing to prescribe you this and there is evidence online of your prescriptions and ONLY And ONLY 1 doctor would give you script. Prescribed opioids by 2 doctors at the same time? Forget about this.
