Just shot 20units of a .4 in 40units water and had few drops under skin at first (reusing needle so not very sharp).
Anyways actually hit intended left-arm vein, re-registered, then injected.. felt a rush but now arm crook has a BIG swollen area. How could this happen? Did I push through the vein?

Shot about 10-15mIn ago. Minimum pain unlike smaller missed shots I've had.
It also has stayed the same in terms of swelling. What should I do??

dude exact same thinjg happen to me I pulled back blood then when i go to push it in it missess like half

You shake half way through by any chance? It’s so easy to register and then miss as soon as you push just a tad too hard or shake just a tiny bit. You know this though, I’m sure.

I don’t touch meth and never did.. but I experienced this with cocaine quite a bit. I was pretty reckless when i was at it though.

Yep! This is very true. Have had this exact same issue you're talking about, happen to me many times...

you went through the vein at first making a hole, then pulled back then registered. once pushing parts of the dose went through the backside of the vein's hole.

once the veins start having issues they do not get better. it is forever damaged.

Thanks heaps for clearing that up

Never go to your neck. Smoke it if you must -- but really this feels like a sign it may be time to put some distance.

I was an H guy but every miss/fraction of a Miss scared the hell out of me as going to the ER and claiming "bee sting" or w/e with a big lump on the elbow would be pretty transparent.

I hear meth is MUCH WORSE on the veins -- like with dope there is only one vein that I ruined and I can get it higher up, I just learned on that one and went straight through it about everytime than pulled back into it - pressed too fast, didn't untie the tourney quick enough -- I was trying but it is not a healthy practice.

Yeah I never will well I have twice now. But I've stopped now.

Ooh idk I know one person that had one of them (and he was dumb) and poured bath salt directly into it and od'd (Not surprisingly I suppose)

Than it got all infected and shit --- better than missing a shot though. Wait is a picc line the little arm port? I don't know the real medical terms

A peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC line) is a thin, flexible tube inserted into a vein in the arm and threaded into a larger central vein, typically near the heart
  • Provides long-term IV access without frequent needle sticks

    • Allows for the administration of a wide range of medications and fluids
    • Reduces the risk of complications associated with repeated needle insertions
Risks: Infection, Blood clots, Damage

The syringes range from 10mL to 30mL. You can fit a lot in that and push very fast. So fast it causes immediately uncomfortable sweating, loss of balance, and neurological disconnection temporary.

Hospitals use normal IV's for 3 days tops before switching areas. PICC's can go for 3 months usage with weekly dressing change, cleaning the exterior, and keeping the PICC entry from ever jerking or straining.

NOTICE : All these videos of Philly, not one of those people infected have a PICC line or PICC line dressing showing where it should be installed. They all need PICC lines for long-term infection care. The infectious disease doctors will not give them a party port that never misses with a threaded dual port connection. Nor will not be managed by a nurse 1-2 times per week. The infection would go straight to the heart inside of a large dia line right into the heart.

Yeah I had a picc line one time I was getting DILUADID 2mg iv I freaking smashing. I was plastered with dilaudid. A little butterfly catheter is more common use addict friendly.
Used to do a nice 27g butterfly iv job with the purest cocaine ive ever experienced and ketamine vials. It became too freaking easy and sustainable to get bell ringers with either drug

My rule of thumb when shooting anything; if your flag is bright red, dont push. Its said this is because you've hit an artery, which is absolutely true, but I also know for a fact i was not in an artery, flag was bright red, and it burned right away. Dont know what it is about the bright red blood, but its a good stop sign.

Edit; I see its an older thread, and about picc lines-- do they actually work for every drug? Can they be used with meth or salt?

Depending on what part of the country youre in, has different concoctions, for lack of a better word. The northwest is really caustic lately, it will burn a little no matter what you do. Southwest is much easier on the veins, as is the southeast, I believe.
Also, when you flag, if your blood is bright red, dont go. Bright frothy blood is a sign youre in an artery (im sure you knew that but bear with me, here), ive also known for SURE I was not in an artery, got bright red blood and burned the shit outta me. I just avoid bright red altogether.
