Will i see a decent government before i die?

Yeah both of those cases were decades ago, I understand that. The point I'm trying to make is re the difference in media coverage, I literally wouldn't have known about the Donald and Everitt murders if I didn't read the 4chan politics board as a teenager. If you have to find about a news event through /pol/, something is amiss

In any case, the rape gangs are almost definitely still operating to this day, just read some of the court transcripts regarding those cases, we're not talking about some 18 year old fucking a girl who's a month or two underage (that still would be bad obviously) we're talking torture and sex slavery on a massive scale, shit so horrible you could barely believe it. Covered up by politicians who, for the most part, were of the left.

Well it didn't take long before something did something horrible, as I predicted. This doesn't seem planned very well if at all, so perhaps just a hateful individual.

Finnish looks amazingly difficult to learn, too. For a native English speaker, Danish and Norwegian look and sound like Old English spoken by a drunk, so it's easier, but Finnish is another language strand entirely.
Finnish is a Uralic language and not a Indo/European one like the Scandinavians making Danish more closely related to the major languages of Sri Lanka than Finnish.

Voting labour is like wiping your bottom. You dont like doing it but you are in a worse mess if you dont.

Disagree. There are better alternatives. I fukkin hate voting least worst (by a gnat’s cock). Can’t do it anymore.

I’m very thankful to be living in Scotland now so SNP are an option, but Greens are a viable alternative in at least some constituencies… and the more who have the balls to take the plunge, the closer we can get to a multipolar system which virtually insists on a PR-style voting system to accommodate.

Also disagree. This current lot seem to be the most unpopular government since Thatcher's decline and her last days in office, and Sunak's Tory Party.

They are already so deeply unpopular that they just don't seem to give a fuck what the public thinks or wants.

They are completely out of touch with the mood of the country.

Forcing through all kinds of horrific things. From age verification to Digital IDs. God Knows what revenue raising measures will be introduced in the November budget.

Taxing the state pension or people on income support? Or just stopping both?

That was meant to be facetious, but this lot are the new nasty party, no doubt about that.

If the realistic alternative was Nige's gang, how would you feel about voting Labour then?

Not saying that's necessarily going to happen, but it's a possibility. And where would Badenoch take the country?

The problem we have is the FPTP system. I'd even take a semi-ineffectual multi-party coalition right now, like they've had in many other European countries. At least when Berlusconi was waving his dick around, he was still more or less kept in check.

But depending on your constituency (England in particular) your vote may end up being worthless anyway.

Always say to Scots, we don't want to lose you, but if you want to lose England then I completely understand.

Still don't want to lose them though.

As somebody who considers them self to be “British” through and through (I’ve spent approximately a third of my life in each of the mainland nations, and have historical roots in all three to boot) I also kinda hate the idea of splitting up the UK.

However, that experience living both inside and outside of England within mainland UK, has taught me that life out with England is so much better whilst simultaneously being abundantly obvious that England could give two shits about the colonised nations.

It changes one’s perspective considerably.

Scotland in particular has been used and abused for decades (at least in modern history - actual history is even darker, naturally) and Wales is barely even an afterthought.

Scotland and Wales just seem to care so much more about the well-being of their citizens. England… less so ;)

I never say 'UK' for cultural reasons, which I think you can guess.

I'm from a family who were recent additions to Britain (from Ireland) but I actually do celebrate 'Britain', whether that's sitting in a Welsh speaking pub or walking down Sauchiehall Street at night. We should be proud we kept these islands going amongst an age of empires.

But I have been treated 'differently' in the south of England, and I've heard comments about 'unintelligible' Scottish accents (the girl spoke very clearly). So I understand the other side too.

Not sure how I feel about this…

On the one hand, Corbyn was always gonna be the obvious front runner for leader… on t’other, the whole spiel of “Your Party” was that it would behave differently to existing parties.

I kinda agree with the analysis above, there is clear division and power plays afoot with this new potential party. This is a tragic sign…

… but hopefully not overwhelming. I still have a modicum of hope for this possible political player, but even I fully accept the clouds have gathered and are thickening with each concurrent revelation :\

America elected a businessman (twice). Ukraine elected an actor. We'll elect a Love Island contestant.

Your Party will have the same problem as the Green party, half the party are conservative Muslims who care about little else other than Gaza, whereas the other half want state run gay bathhouses. There has already been a split between the MPs over transgender issues

^ Your Party do seem to be splitting hard from the outset. Not a good sign…

The Greens are resurgent under Zachary Polanski though. Membership has skyrocketed and they’re polling well into the double digits with some demographics.

Definitely putting their best foot forward atm and they’re still well in contention for my vote next time around. Probably top of the list tbh. Your Party have a looooong way to go as things stand :\

MP McMPFace for sure 😃

Zack Polanski hitting yet another home run arguing the case for legalising (and regulating) all drugs. This man is making a whole lotta sense on pretty much every issue you could imagine. He’ll almost certainly be getting my vote.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

The issue is Zack Polanski can say what he likes, his lot are just the flip-side of the coin to Farage or as I have heard said before "two cheeks of the same ass"

We will NEVER see anyone in Power who is good as anyone who wants that much Control over others is a sure sociopath & that isn't good.

In old Japan if a person in power behaved in a way that brought shame upon himself or his area he would be forced to cut out his own stomach in front of everyone then have their head chopped off, this kept most people who wanted power for their own reasons in check, just think about that for a moment before you say anything.

You know what you gotta do Sir.......

Sixth form tier stuff tbh, Peter Hitchens would have rekt him
