I went to prison for a few years and the meth seems to be very diffrent. Diffrent in a bad way. Snorting it feels like I'm inhaling straight glass(well it's always felt like that) but it hurts a lot more it seems. Smoking it is horrible tastes and smells nasty. seems like a lot of it burns super easy and is gone ridiculously fast. Shooting it just doesn't feel the same at all. It doesn't have the rush that I remember just not as strong I guess or does it seem to last that long. And on top of it when I don't have any more it feels like I'm coming down off of Black. Do I just have a bad connect or do you guys have a similar experience?

Yes. Sort of.

Meth completely depletes your neurotransmitters. So of course it's gonna fuck you up when you run out.
It takes me over a week to feel "normal" after doing meth. I'm very sore, emotional, anxious, etc..
The only difference is that after a meth binge, I'm still able to sleep & I sleep a lot. During an opioid withdrawal, it's very hard to sleep or feel relaxed at all.

It's always been this way & it's one of the reasons I don't do meth anymore. Fuck feeling like that. I did meth off & on for 25 years now almost & it's always been this way. This crash & then persistent low mood & energy lasted well beyond after running out. There's no such thing as meth without a crash.

Coming off regular amphetamine/adderall is a lot easier. I'm usually back to "normal" withing 2 days of doing that, but meth is a different story.

You might just have some shitty meth too, but coming off ANY form of meth is going to suck. That's what gets people trapped on it until they end up in psychosis.

Don't believe the "there's fentanyl in the meth" myths either. There's no logistical way to cut meth shards with "fentanyl", since just a little bit of a fentanyl would get an opioid naive person sky high. Less than 1% of crystal methamphetamine in the US is "cut" with fentanyl & it's not really "cut" with it, more so it's cross contamination from dealers selling both & weighing them on the same scale. I assure you it's highly unlikely that there's any fent or an "opioid" in with your meth or anything like that, if the thought ever crosses your mind.

Meth will make anyone feel like shit once it runs out. Especially the older you get.

Yes I agree with everything you said. But before I went to prison when I would come down from meth I would just sleep never really felt that bad beside being tired and drained from not eating and running a muk for a few days. but other then that I would just sleep. Now I feel like dog shit when coming off it And now I make sure I'm hydrated and been eating. I'm even able to fall sleep on it now. idk might just come with getting older like you said but it seems alot diffrent now then a few years ago.

Could be a variety of factors.

Meth metabolism in the brain creates byproducts like hydrogen peroxide. So imagine pouring hydrogen peroxide on your brain & what would happen.

Meth also destroys the mylein sheeth around your nerves, which is there to coat & protect your nerves. Once enough of it is destroyed, you can end up with stuff like multiple sclerosis & fibromyalgia. I deal with fibromyalgia pain now & it's like my entire body is constantly sore all the time.

So it could be a combination of age + accumulation of damage over time. For me, meth crashes got harder & harder the older I got (I'll be 40 in a few years). It got to a point where it just wasn't worth using. And when I do fuck up & use, I know I'm in for a lousy week after that.

It sounds like you had some crappy meth, but even good meth can have an awful come down if you do enough of it.

This. ^^^^^. Unbelievable how , TV, police, outreach, everyone seems to think meth is all laced with fentanyl .

Yup. I had a friend keep telling me that his meth was "cut with fentanyl" because it "made him tired". lol

I've also known people who love getting sympathy from others for their drug problems, so by telling people they're addicted to "fentanyl-laced meth", they can get double the sympathy for having a "fentanyl" problem on top of their meth problem. lol

It's ridiculous. Fentanyl has become an American boogeyman, lurking in everyone's drugs... Except it isn't.

I just tested the meth I bought and it tested positive for fentanyl. It can be and is laced with fentanyl.

Like the other guy said, it doesn't make any sense logically, financially, practically, etc to lace meth with Fentanyl. And it would be pretty difficult to even get it laced into each bag at an amount that wouldn't kill someone instantly who has no opioid tolerance, while also putting just enough that the user gets effects from it.

What's more likely is that something in your meth caused a false positive for fentanyl.

I once took tramadol & then did a piss test & it said I had meth, MDMA, PCP & morphine in my system. Which I obviously didn't. But the test said so, so does that automatically make it true? No it doesn't.

I'm a little skeptical that whoever you bought your drugs from is just handing out two drugs for the price of one, while being completely opposite drugs in terms of effects & everything else.
Enjoy dying then, because the amount of meth a tweaker can smoke in one setting could have enough fentanyl on it to kill 20 people. Logistically speaking, it's not even really possible.

If your meth is in shard/glass form, then it's absolutely NOT cut with fentanyl. And if your meth is powder, then you need to find a new meth dealer, cause it's 2025 & there's plenty of shard/glass meth out there, nobody should be pushing powdered meth in this day & age unless they're purposefully being sketchy & scammy.
