I'm starting to be able to get horny by will again, not by touch or porn, but remembering how arousal feels or thinking about my fuck buddy. I've been feeling good lately, I've been around some good people too.

Wait hold on what's all this talk about invega causing dick shrinkage? Do all antipsychotics injection cause that? Does it heal?

@Invegatorture

Do you also have cognitive dulling/ intellectual diminishments/ blank mind on Abilify?

I’m looking for a medication to advocate for a switch over too, gonna change my psychiatrist(hopefully) and either get my dosage lowered again or switch medications. I know Abilify’s half life isn’t nearly as long as Invega( I’ve heard reports of it truly being monthly) and I’ve heard your reports of it not being as bad as invega

Yes. I am experiencing cognitive dulling and blank mind. I find holding conversations and thinking very difficult on abilify.

For me abilify has not been as bad as invega because I had a fucked reaction to my second shot of invega a couple years ago. I could hardly walk and it melted my brain/ hunched my spine in 24 hours. I slurred my words and my brain felt like it had acid poured on it. Not the normal effects of the medication most experience.

If I don’t include that reaction and compare as if it never happened, abilify has been better as it’s not a full dopamine blocker rather a partial dopamine agonist so I can feel maybe 5% dopamine compared to nothing on invega. I enjoy music slightly and can feel a tiny bit during orgasm.

If anhedonia is not an issue for you I would say keep lowering the dose and avoid other meds that could add to your list of side effects, could compilcate your recovery. Abilify is known for akathisia. But do you of course just a suggestion.

Over all if I imagine I never had that weird reaction to invega, abilify has been better in all ways. (Its hard for me to compare them truly as I am having normal side effects this time round). That’s just me tho. @paranoid android found abilify to be worse than invega.

Also Invega’s effects last so long i don’t think you will experience much improvement changing meds by the time you are off your court order.

Hope this helps. Hope it makes sense as well, my brain does’t work properly. Find it hard explaining myself.

What if you actively have schizophrenia? Voices, hallucinations, jitters, difficult sleeping, dreams where you're losing consciousness.
Does anyone know a way to treat or cure symptoms?

Get sleep. It all begins with you getting no sleep that’s when all the voices + things that are bothering you have the ability to attack and meddle in your life to a degree that becomes uncomfortable

After around the 3-4 week mark with no risperidone it becomes agonizing and unbearable and I take around 0.4-1m to sooth and be able to sleep. Sometimes I have to take upwards to 4-5mg if i'm in a manic state.

I wish there was a way to come off the drugs completely and live a normal life. i've tried everything, hundreds on nootropics, but I keep getting to the point where I have to take the risperidone

When i recovered from the invega and abilify my sex drive started to come back at about the 3 month mark. It came back slowly at first but then eventually i knew it was back with good
It is taking me over two years. But I'm glad I waited two years. It is defiantly better to wait this long, even for a partial recovery, than to kill yourself. I can still get high, I'm having orgasms and living my life again even if I feel a little washed out, a little sun bleached.

What are your auditory hallucinations about? And did you end up recovering yourself fully? I read some of your earlier message history.
