Good YouTube/etc Channels worth watching

This one is highly controversial for me. My partner, Sadie, flat-out refuses to watch him due to his animal cruelty and general douchery.

I cannot argue with her. She is correct. He minimises animal suffering to the point he - on more than one occasion - has cooked living animals and laughed at their inevitable suffering.

Plus he’s a generic right-wing chud.

However, he also films sit-down meetings with marginalised tribes around the world, accepts and elevates their cultures in a totally non-judgemental way.

I am conflicted

Make your own mind up seems sensible. This particular vid is fairly random and fairly representative… but he doesn’t cook any live creatures so consider it mild… but also pretty good?

We can genuinely have divergent parts of our psyche that appear to have no right to co-exist within the whole - no doubt whatsoever

I can't tolerate that level of cruelty to animals though so am calling him a grade 'A' cunt regardless and with zero conflict! Perhaps he gets mauled and toyed with by a bear somewhere.

Is there a thread for awful youtube channels, not worth watching?

I'm nominating

https://www.youtube.com/@CharlesVeitch

The guy is such an unbelievable level of C U Next Tuesday, even more so now he has his 3 body guards, and he's suddenly such a "big hard man."

He was awful even before, provoking and aggravating vulnerable people, but he's insufferable now he has his 3 body guards.

He just goes round mouthing off, rude as fuck to everyone. Cowardly suddenly full of complete bullshit aggressive bravado, now he knows he'll be safe from attacks (unless he attracts a huge mob force :ROFLMAO:.)

Jimmy The Giant is one of my favourite YouTubers. This particular video I just watched earlier today and enjoyed thoroughly.

It’s about how the Right Wing have used Upper and Middle Class grifters over the years but refuse to accept Working Class grifters due to inherent classism… but still want to glom onto the aesthetic to woo the Working Class - let’s face it Reform - voter.

Interesting stuff.

Good to know much love. Will download it.

Just, practising patience till the Desktop version is finished.

edit: it already was finished, it runs smoothly, but what was shocking,
the same track played on YouTube and then via GrayJay.
That YT has extreme bad sound quality compared.

So you change your Step for a Giant Revive kinda thing.

PS-- It just occurred to me why it's so easy to avoid toxic social media-- I wouldn't have time to look at that garbage even if I wanted to!

Dan David History is an excellent educational channel focussed on mostly ancient history - especially the Neolithic, Bronze and Iron Age tribes of ancient Europe.

I love history in general but have a special fondness for ancient history. This channel specifically massively increased my knowledge of ancient European cultures. There’s just so much more known than I had any idea about. Fascinating stuff!

Hell Yeah!!!!

I am 100% SURE by 2028 we in the UK will see things like they were back in the late 1980's & what is "brewing" in Society will make Beanfield look like a Kids party. My brother lives in the middle of Bristol, the house cost £650,000 & I am NOT joking, rents are through the roof as you will pay around £1,500 for a single bedroom flat, feel free to look yourself.

People cannot afford stuff & with piss taking rent pirates asking that much people will do what they have too for survival, am old Hippie I know who I speak to quite regular keeps saying the UK is heading for another Beanfield but this time it'll really go fucked up, I plan to get a big stick & have a Male Cane Corso on a piece of rope very soon.

I think it's nailed-on that people will be living on the road again (or similar) in increasing numbers similar to the 80's, it's happening already. An old friend's little 'plot' here at 1.30 in, (the most 'sorted' looking one!) she literally texted me this morning to tell me to have a look

Have had (have) plenty friends (and now family) in Bristol for decades and know all about that city and still visit 4 or 5 times a year...When we lived on the road we used to base in St. Werburghs, St Pauls or Easton in the winters...there were absolutely loads of live-in busses parked up in Bristol for the cold months back then.

The Back Focus *ahem* focusses on behind the scenes stories from various classic movies. We are currently watching this one on The Goonies but first watched the one on Stand By Me which was excellent.

Much more interesting than you would expect by modern BTS blandery.
