Thank you for your condolences, I feel for your loss as well. It's amazing how many people have no idea about unsterile equipment and contract infections such as this.
It sucks to lose a best friend. Not just the loss itself but how it gets treated.

When it comes to bereavement, people tend to focus on partners, children, siblings, parents as being *significant*. Everybody understands how *that* would impact you because it's understood to be a fundamental relationship.

Friends are for some reason 'JUST' friends. Nevermind that for many of us, friendships fulfil the role of family when family disregards or abandons us, and see us through multiple romantic relationships that do not work out.

To my mind, friendship at its best is one of the purest ways in which we can experience human affection, and it ought to be treasured more.

Nah I know users in my area who routinely say chasing to mean smoking.

PS it actually makes sense to me because strictly speaking, you are not smoking but vaporising; and when I've tried this method I DEFINITELY felt like I was 'chasing after' the trails of resin on the foil Xd
I think "chasing" means like chasing/searching for drugs

? The only context in which I've encountered this expression is as a synonym for smoking. And those who exclusively or prefetentially ingest the drug by smoking it are referred to as 'chasers'.
Well im in Australia and 95% of people call the act of searching for drugs "chasing".
Have never heard that term for heroin smokers and ive been using opiates for 6 years , methadone for 3
