Opioids What do you find more enjoyable heroin or fentanyl?

Do you find fentanyl is more enjoyable than heroin or do you find heroin more enjoyable than fentanyl?

I hear that some fentanyl is way more potent than heroin.

I hate fentanyl in comparison to heroin. It's physically stronger, but is cold and mechanical. It lacks the godlike euphoric warm hug that heroin provides.

I actually think it's tragic that there is a whole generation of junkies who have never even tried real heroin because fent is all they know.

Now we are witness to carfentanil being added to fentanyl to increase it's potency. Carfentanil is some x100 more potent than fentanyl and as I have remarked elsewhere, I feel that law enforcement should class it as a WMD (as the Royal Collage of Anethentists has suggested). It seems that even the threat of decades in prison isn't stopping the people making it. Being treated as a terrorist just MIGHT make them think again.

I might add that there is a compound listed in the CWC that is still used medically, so it's clear that the legislation to allow exceptions is already in place, so nobody can claim it cannot be done. Legitimate uses of carefentanil exist but are so rare, licencing would not be an issue.

BTW recently I noted a dodgy website were apparently offering a compound they claimed to be at least as potent as cafentanil. But it's not. Or, rather, I should say that in animal models it's analgesic activity is around the same as carefentanil, but the compound being offered is a selective NOP ligand and the key point mentioned in one paper is 'did not substitute for morphine in animal models' in that animals wouldn't self-administer the stuff suggesting that it isn't psychoactive, or at least not in a posivie manner.

There is very little information on the effects of carfentanil in man. It appears to demonstrate a two-phase dose-response curve in man. Now that could be good or bad. If it means after a certain point increasing the dose does less, that's safer, but equally, if it means after a certain point increasing the dose does MORE, that's an issue.

But we haven't witnessed a disproportionate number of deaths associated with carfentanil, so is it's TI higher than fentanyl?

But however you slice it, when something is > x30000 M in potency - it's a WMD if used as such.

I have a horrible feeling that if someone becomes dependent on carfentanil, there may be no appropriate substitution therapy.

All I've heard from chemists who made fentanyl and broke RULE1 is that at the top end of the scale, the AWS phase can last a year.

Didn't Thomas K. Highsmith end his life because he has synthesized and broken RULE 1 with etonitazene and no dose of methadone would even touch the AWS.

I have said that the acetyl methadol derivative of R-4066 is some x106 M in potency and has a T1/2 of 18.7 hours - so 'super methadone' if you will. But it's off-patent so I figure things will have to get a lot worse before someone brushes the dust of the papers, conducts the trials and introduces it into treatment.

Wasn't here also once a thread about a person who said he synthesized pharaoh fentanyl by himself and consumed way too much and had the worst withdrawal ever haha. I am still searching for that thread. But some people thought he would be trolling, but all the information he gave, made it sound like he wasn't. Because I read it like mid 2023 when I was withdrawaling from O-DSMT...kinda helped for not feeling alone going through withdrawal...the first withdrawal for me was totally unexpected and my first withdrawal ever and thought it was something else. Then I had later a second withdrawal and luckily that horrific experience helped me to stay away from any RC-Opioids since then and it will stay that way
