i never read foucault, but a lot of people in the punk music scene wrote about him and people like nietzsche.. i like nietzsche's thoughts on not being too certain about anything, like always doubting even if you have a set belief that it could be wrong. it's pretty much how i live my life with schizophrenia... there's a lot written about post modernism that is over my head though.. i just read a basic introduction to nietzsche... made a lot of sense to me... i don't know how i feel about all of it though.. i'm a terrible reader.. a lot of that philosophy stuff you kind of have to be a bit educated to understand the way it's written.

Foucault's Madness and civilization is really good imo. I fully admit that i have never read Neitzche. He never really interested me

i'm actually going to put that book in a list of stuff that i want to go back too... maybe when i move to smoke free housing, i'll read about it or actually even try to get into it... like i said though, reading nietsche's actually writing or anything dated prior to the early 1900's is a real task for me to get into.. i pretty much just trust translators when reading philosophy.

Invega Sustenna Review:

"Warning: this shot will destroy your life. I only had 1 shot, the 234 mg. I dropped out of school, became depressed. It's been 3 years and I still suffer from absence of emotion. It doesn't sound like much, but trust me, life becomes empty without emotions."

3 years passed by and still suffers not feeling emotions. Don't believe anyone who tells you they healed in less than 3 years.

Just 1 injection takes about 4-5 years to heal from.

I feel bad if anyone has had more than 1 shot of invega.

You can find hundreds more similar negative reviews on www.drugs.com

Don't believe people on bluelight who talk about healing in 1 year or 2.

95% of people don't know what they are talking about.

Their is a lot of fake people who has never had invega.

Especially don't trust the moderators they are all pro psychiatry. They want people medicated.
I know that everyone’s bodies are different and recovery times are going to range depending on a lot of factors. But I was able to recover after 5 months. The biggest indicator being that I got psychosis from taking one hit of weed at 5 months recovery. And psychosis again a few months later and I was completely sober. After recovering from those episodes, I am completely back to normal and do not have any symptoms of the Invega shot that I used to have. I don’t want to discredit the person who wrote that review because what he is feeling is valid. You can view my post history and you’ll see that I was facing the same struggles as everyone in these threads. I’m also not super pro psychiatry and believe we should use more natural ways to treat psychosis. In my 2nd to last episode, I stopped taking the meds prescribed to me and practiced mindfulness, meditation, journaling, nature walks, exercise, dancing, grounding techniques and I was able to recover from that psychosis using those tools. Only responding cause I think it’s important to give people hope and a sign that you can get better. The time it took me to recover isn’t going to look the same as someone else but those 5 months were excruciating long and empty for me with no idea on when I was going to recover. I also believed it would take a year or two.

maybe you're not the person to ask but do you know any telltale signs of recovery? i've been finding myself laughing a lot, playing games and working out without issue, full sexual function. the only things that kind of bug me are that my lungs feel so weak and flu like symptoms.

Healing from psychiatric medicine takes years. Each year that passes your brain returns more and more back to normal. I don't believe anyone who says they recovered in less than 1 year. I have read hundreds of negative reviews stating healing takes more than 2 years.

Yes before my episode at 5 months, I was starting to feel more enjoyment out of things. Was able to laugh and socialize. I was also put on Wellbutrin and I felt like I had more energy and would go on walks and hiking which I enjoyed doing before being put on Invega. I also had physical symptoms: restlessness in the legs, rapid weight gain, constipation. Most of the physical symptoms went away for me at 3 months. Then the mental and emotional symptoms were getting better at 5 months. Wellbutrin helped but not fully back to normal. When I hit that joint and entered psychosis, everything came back to me but tenfold, if you know what I mean. In that psychosis, all symptoms of Invega that I had experienced were way gone and coming out of that episode, everything seemed back to normal. I didn’t even experience that post-psychotic depression that people usually get.

Believe what you want then. Doesn’t bother me. I know my truth. Bless you.

reading the reviews on drugs.com really ruined my night. feels like i read a few lovely recovery stories and then come across some really fucked up shit like not recovering after years. obviously that's not their fault but. truthfully i am terrified.

Bullshit, it should only take a year or two. There are some cases like this one, but people heal most of the time. saying this here spreads fear and causes suicide. Most of the people who have extended problems got rare complications, they were on it for too long, or they had other medications after the shots like I did.

That said, invega sustenna and the way it is dosed is no less that a reversible lobotomy and it will fuck you up. Guidelines say you're not supposed to give it to people in first episode psychosis, and what did they do to me during my first pharmaceutical induced psychosis? They gave it to me upon request when I never had psychosis before.

Pretty much the only thing wrong with me is sexual dysfunction, a little musical anhedonia and wavering emotional blunting, and it's not even that bad anymore. I find life livable again and I'm happy to be here most of the time. :3

@t_xeplionhell and @maryjaneforever

How long have you guys been suffering for?
How many injections did you both receive?
What symptoms have improved overtime?
What symptoms are you still dealing with?
16 months. I felt better about 12 months.
2 injections.
Energy.
My sleep is not right. Major anxiety. Can’t make decisions. And I’m just not the same bubbly person. My personality is gone. Memory issues. And my brain feels disconnected from my body.

It’s a labotomy. I’m a whole other person.

Still looking for that time machine to unfuck my life yall.
It’s called CERN. Located in Switzerland. Opens portals and wormholes. Particle accelerator.

The only time they ever turned it off was during covid. Funny right. Then they turned it back on after covid was finished and blew the earth off its axis. True story. Look it up.

Ahahaha. Thanks.

@maryjaneforever
thank you for replying I appreciate you.
I have two more questions if you don't mind?

Can you say as time goes by you have been improving slowly?

In how many years do you calculate your full recovery?
