I was sleeping like a baby during my psychotic episode. I was simply scared of lights. I was not a thread to me or to others but they placed me in a psych ward. I took few drops of Risperdal and was over the psychotic episode after 5 days. They told me that to exit the psych ward I had to get the shots. They said they didnt have any adverse effects. Whenever I was complaining they said that my body has to get used to the drugs. I quitted by myself because of the hell they had place me in.The only way you will “snap” out of a psychotic episode is if it’s drug/medication induced and the drugs or medications wear off and you come too. There’s no such thing as a “mild” psychotic ep. You either have a psychotic ep or don’t. And even if you have a psychotic episode that’s drug induced or medication induced. They put you on a run of oral medication if you’re compliant taking them as a first line of defence to make sure it’s just drug or medication induced. If it’s not medication/drug induced and it’s “stress” or “sleep” induced you’ll still need a run of antipsychotics and if orals don’t snap you out of it and it continues to get worse they’ll put you on injections. It’s just the way the system works. Were you sleeping while psychotic? Probably not?
