🌟🌟 Social 🌟🌟 What's the last film you saw? v. Why doesn’t Peter Jackson wear shoes?

Takedown (2000)

Always liked this, not a patch on something like Hackers or Pirates of Silicon Valley but enjoyable nonetheless.

There’s Something in the Barn (2023)

Action packed elf horror film, go in blind and you’ll have a great time. December will have a lot of good and bad Christmas horror and this is in the good bit.

best Godzilla movie I ever done seen
gosh darn near perfect

could be the best I've seen all year period

The Day After Tomorrow (2004)

Decent enough ‘end of the world’ disaster film. Didn’t think it was as good Deep Impact or The Core really. Still worth a watch though - just for the snow and ice effects.

unforgiven, by clint eastwood. not that bad given that i dont really like western movies.

Renfield (2023) - 3.5/5

I'm typically not a fan of these types of comedies, and I don't like vampire stuff, but this was surprisingly funny and enjoyable enough. The action scenes seemed out of place, though. The jokes were my favorite part.

Renfield…that seemed to me like an attempt to use the Dracula story in a way that cashed in on the superhero subgenre. Especially the action sequences, like you mentioned, they were like straight out of a comic book adaptation or something

I want to watch that one. My friend and I are Nic Cage fans, we just thought his career trajectory was funny, from being an a-list actor to starring in some of the worst, most bottom of the barrel low-budget schlock you’ve ever seen lol. We used to joke that if you wanted Cage to star in your movie, just toss him a couple crack rocks and you’re golden lol.

But, in all seriousness, he’s been in some really good films in the past and that movie seemed like it could be a humorous “meta”-type film, so I wouldn’t mind seeing it
