🌟🌟 Social 🌟🌟 What's the last film you saw? v. Why doesn’t Peter Jackson wear shoes?

Has anyone here seen “Napoleon” yet? I’ve gotta admit I’ve been curious about it…I wouldn’t have thought to cast Phoenix as Napoleon but I like him as an actor & I’m overdue for some epic bloated historical drama tbh 😝 anyway, I’d be interested if anybody’s seen it

Just watched The Talented Mr Ripley for the very first time there. The movie itself has a very in depth plot to say the least. A brilliant tale of love, lies, death & betrayal.

I've been hmmming and hawing about whether to go watch it or not. Probably will.

Last film was the remake of Nightmare on Elm Street. Comfort horror is the best.

Got on Nobody Leaves (also called Braid) at the mo.

Pheonix was so good as the Emperor in Gladiator though, which was awesome and kind of a period piece (even though they played fast and loose with the history a bit). I can totally see him pulling off Napoleon.

Latest movie I saw was 'Thanksgiving' its a new slasher film. saw it with a very special friend last weekend in the theatre, prior to that the last movie I had seen was Julien Donkey Boy for the 2nd time to show it to another friend, that was months and months ago, and I cant even remember the last time I've been in a theatre besides last weekend, more than a couple years at least.

Knock at the Cabin (2023) - 2.5/5

Interesting idea and kept me entertained, but I feel like the ending was very underwhelming and undercut the movie as a whole. It could have been a lot better, it doesn't serve itself well.

Guy Ritchie’s films kind of piss me off tbh. It’s like he found a particular gimmick and took it way too far

he has this certain style of narrating, not particulary inventive but he likes to make these kinda big style movies with the voice that introduces the characters at the beginning and such.

Trolls Band Together

Actually alright for a kids film. There was a few jokes for the ‘big people’ that kids wouldn’t catch and liked the animation. Not for everyone but yeah if you enjoyed the first give a go.
