🌟🌟 Social 🌟🌟 What's the last film you saw? v. Why doesn’t Peter Jackson wear shoes?

Beverly Hills Cop II. Those were the days when Eddie Murphy was at his absolute best. You guys remember that scene where that fat little fuck of a police chief walks in and Ed suddenly starts talking in this weird french accent, pretending like he wasn't from there? Oh man, what a movie :ROFLMAO:
Never has a actor shown such talent, not just in comedy but in serious acting and action movies too, and blown it big time. He doesn't drink, use drugs, just horrible movie decisions. At about 20 he was the only decent actor on Saturday night live, after the show destroyed itself, he kept it alive. The nutty professor is the closet thing to a good Eddie Murphy movie has done in decades( I really am not interested in seeing Dream girls) I think he surrounded himself with "yes people" and went on to make so many bad movies, after proving he also can write(Harlem Nights; do comedy, action and drama) But his career has been in the longest death spiral of any truly gifted actors I have seen. I blame part of this on him(delusionally) thinking he can have a singing career also, he had an another horrible album a few years back.

On another subject: David Hasselhoff?
While this may be before your time, (an entire group of German College students, studying here for a sememster, who I met at a bar back in college, went into panic mode denying that they have ever listened too or knew anyone who did) admitted that David Hasselhoff was a big star there, but could not explain why, sorry. I know that is true, he was liked over their as a singer, hugh joke here though.(of course) why, for the love of all that is great in music; How and Why? If talking about this part of your countries history has been censored and could land you in jail, I fully understand.

Anyways (back to Eddie) he released an awful album and has tried in vain to be a music star(eddie) more than once. and has made so many bad movies and cost studios billions in lost revenue, I still have trouble understanding what truley what went so wrong and stayed wrong for so long with his career? Yes the entertainment industry as a whole is dead. If you haven't seen Beverly Hills Cop 3, don't.

Sunshine (2007)

I’m a fan of Alex Garland and Danny Boyle so I figured a sci-fi film by the two of them would be a home run for me, but alas, something about it was off for me. The silly space suits, the vague horror element that never quite developed, the lack of real plot towards the second half, the uninteresting soundtrack, the horrible decisions the characters make at several points… I dunno it just didn’t do it for me.

Sad I didn’t enjoy it. Was hoping to add another sci-fi to the shelf but I don’t think I’ll be getting this one unless I can find it in a bargain bin at the thrift store.

6/10

I would rate it about the same probably…it was entertaining enough to watch but ultimately pretty forgettable imo. The one memorable thing about the movie I guess was the abrupt shift in tone near the end of the film, when it shifts from sci fi to horror

sunshine is my favorite danny boyle film.

yeah, the ending is a bit silly and doesn't do the rest of the movie justice but there are so many other things i love about it...

the mercury transit

the shield repair and the loss of kaneda

the fire

the signal from the icarus

the sublime underworld soundtrack

but, of course, mileage varies.

Saw Meander (2020) - French film. Very much like a cross between Cube and The Descent, with added sci-fi twists. Good tense claustrophobic film if you like a shot of horror and adrenaline.

7/10

Saving Private Ryan and ik that's crazy but hear me out lol

I was so intensely absolutely CONSUMED for years by my old super high benzo habit that I didn't even watch movies or new TV shows or anything for years

plus side tho when I finally quit Xanax I had a lot of movies/shows to help entertain my brain during cravings

lol 😁

Haven't seen it, trailer looks interesting. Will, personally , reserve my judgement until seen.

Kinda feel like watching Fincher new "The Killer" but as Im old as shit nowadays I must first regain my strength with sleeping this night proper-ly and spend the next night on that special occasion.
A friend told me, it's boring as hell. Fassbender is attractive but wouldn't bother holding out if story/direction is as shit, as have heard.

Why is The Stoned Age the only one I can remember but I was getting sloppy during it wasn't paying attention the whole time think that is the last time I need to see that my goodness

Couldn't get into it ended up being background noise
