no mate, it's recent (sorry if any confusion, I'm dedicating the tune to an extremely dear friend of mine who has recently passed - this was one of her favourite songs, one of mine too)

All my fucking friends seem to be dying, half a dozen now (which is most of them!) in last 3 years or so.

EDIT I think the above is the best version of that song, stripped bare and raw

I don't have that problem, having turned my back on my friends during my 'wilderness years'.

I honestly couldn't tell you if any of them are still alive or not.


I guess you could call them 'Schrodinger's friends'... :\
