What ever happened to PCP?

This was vapour - but it was being forced through a small smace.

But using a 55 gallon (205L) steel vessel with the top removed means a surface area of 163 cm2 of diethyl ether (vapor pressure 379.6) or THF (vapor pressure 127) - VP at 20C.

I guess that is one reason why THF is preferred. On the other hand, water is miscible with THF which is bad for a Grignard. Swings and roundabouts.



Above is a police bust of a small PCP lab. But I've read of a couple of lab busts in 2016. One burnt down, the other was detected because neighbours complained about the constant odour of chemicals. In both cases their were dozens of 55 gallon drums and in the one that was dismantled, they were using the drums as reaction vessels....

Sheer madness.

Dutch law actually make an unsafe lab a separate crime so even if you were making something legal, they still close you down, take all your stuff and throw you in jail and/or give you a huge fine.

As I said - I'm an idiot. In my defence, My Merck uses the solid and dotted wedge for the C-C bond between benzene - cyclohexane and cyclohexane - piperidine. I was on autopilot.

I've smoked PCP 7 times and each time it was PCP soaked into mint leaves. I always did it with someone else and we would roll up a blunt of the mint leaves and smoke it straight like that. PCP for me always reminded me of when I used to trip on DXM. But PCP would get me stuck, I would freeze up like a statue and I would go into a deep detached state of mind, my body would feel disembodied or not all together, everything would sorta look like a cartoon and my emotions would be all over the place. I felt like I was walking on clouds
 
PCP is one of the few drugs I haven't tried but its number one on my list of drugs I want to try. Have not ran into anyone in my area who has ever claimed to have ran into it.

I'm in the Pacific Northwest. I do keep an eye on the DNM and have seen what was listed as traditional PCP twice in the last year. One was from Canada and one was from Australia. I never went for it because I did t want to risk getting it through customs. So apparantely it is around in some places

I was about to say the exact same thing. I've only ever found it in the most ghetto neighborhoods, TBH. Sherm, liquid, dippers, all pretty common. Angel dust in powder form is fairly rare though. PCE is a rarity these days as well, but one worth checking out if you ever get the chance.

Try making friends with people in the nearest hood area. This takes some finesse, practice, and perseverance. You need a liaison though. It's inadvisable to go traipsing into the hood knowing not one soul…
 
Yeah it's definitely better to know someone who lives in the hood, it depends on what neighborhood it is, I'm from NY and I used to just go into the hood, a lot of times people think you are there to buy crack but you have to let them know you are trying to find some dust, where I'm from they soak mint leaves in the PCP and we would roll it straight up in a blunt and smoke it like that. But if you want it to be more mellow you can put the mint leaves on top of weed but I always smoked the mint leaves straight
 
I always wanted to try the PCP analogs like 3 Meo PCP but that is more difficult to find then regular PCP where I'm from

Unfortunately I'm a bit of a nerdy white kid from 20+ miles outside of the city in the suberbs with no vehicle. No friends in the city, although if I ever meet someone at a show I'll try to stay in contact. I'm in the Portland, OR area and I've never heard of PCP use even from old veterans, unless they're talking about their time growing up in California. Wouldn't surprise me if there's some in Seattle. There's probably some in Portland somewhere but its a rarity. I've heard of it in LA and San Diego. My internet friend who uses it a lot says he usually finds it in Kansas City and of course its known to be in D.C. Guess people in Portland are content with the Meth, Benzos and Fentanyl

The cop really knows his chemistry AND re-enforces my point that the Chinese will ship the Grignard IN diethyl ether but simply label it as 'diethyl ether'.

The US does a TERRIBLE job in trying to stop precursors - but I'm guessing such vast volumes of solvents, it's impossible to make any impact via random GC-MS testing.

I've been blown up - 30l of toluene vapour. I am lucky to be alive.

On the plus side it was in The Netherlands and we were making 2CI which was legal at the time.

We were top of the national headlines as (wait for it) 'Largest MDMA lab ever found'. NO MDMA was EVER produced at that location - but 'small lab producing legal compound' isn't such an arresting headline.

The cop also knows that COOKS are the muppets who make this stuff. Real chemists are paid to show them how... which is why REAL chemists are almost never caught.

You could travel or learn to use the dark net markets safely and wait until it pops up again on one of those markets, or with an RC dealer.

I've been thinking about this since you said it to me a few months ago. It makes sense, and I think you hit the nail on the head. That must be what's going on and it's been that way for many years I'm guessing. Muy interesante.

Thirty L of toluene – yeah that will light up the night a bit, so to speak. It is a precursor to TNT after all. Well, it was in the name of producing 2C-I, which is a noble quest as 2C-I is pure 🔥 on the mountain.

Almost… Greed, letting down one's guard, and people running their mouths / snitches all lie out there like so many buried landmines. It can be treacherous. I wish things didn't have to be this high stakes, but such is the world.

That's an interesting opinion. Idk, to me, I see them as different. PCP really takes my head into these long, elaborate alternate history stories from another universe similar to ours, but, for me, these alternate worlds are fixed somewhere around the mid 20th century (style-wise) and typically involve a world that is in a state of World War similar to WWII. There's a lot of art deco, a lot of gothic & Anglo-Saxon architecture as well. Mixed into this is a sprawling Neo Tokyo replete with biker gangs, parallax cityscapes, and sinister subplots of the Akira persuasion. There's a touch of steampunk and a bit of Lovecraftian cosmic horror. It feels qualitatively grittier than, say, 3-MeO-PCP and 3-HO-PCP, the former being more psychedelic and visual and the latter having this wonderful body high euphoric sensation that accompanies its psychedelic dissociative effects, perhaps owing to its opioid receptor activity in addition to its primary action as an NMDA receptor antagonist.

If they were Frank Miller graphic novels, 3-MeO-PCP would be the movie 300 while PCP would be Sin City.

If they were Quentin Tarantino movies, 3-MeO-PCP would be Kill Bill vol. 1 and PCP would be Pulp Fiction. And 3-HO-PCP would be Kill Bill vol. 2. Ya feel me?
