Professor Nutt's magic jizz (Sentia)

Just a mindless shill, too competent to be a bot, even in this day and age, but definitely just a shill.
I'm not a shill. I ain't got a clue whats going on the nutt world other than podcasts I find. Just a subject I'm interested in as I have tried to quit alcohol many times - and failed.

The new2drugs name was because I waited till I was in my 40s to try other drugs and wanted info about mdma and coke.

Sorry to cause problems. Btw I never started this thread.

I think they're busy working away on how to bring a benzo/z-drug to market, In the mean time, this is what there is.... but like any other drug, the set & setting has a massive effect. Here's a study about placebo drinks - check out how easy it is to persuade people they've drunk alcohol:

I knooooowww, man x

So the general consensus is that everyone bar new2drugs thinks it's a load of shite then?
It's an interesting concept though, but I think some GBL etc would be a lot more effective. Wish that stuff was more readily available.
Seems to be selling but then so do things like non alcoholic gin which also costs a lot.

To be honest I do think the Sentia is a load of shite but I think the real alcarelle isn't.

Well this was posted today. Looks like basically the late 20s till we get something moving.

Co-founder David Orren, out enjoying some SENTIA.

David is an internationally-experienced business leader and coach, focussing on companies with disruptive innovation strategies.

From 2016, David has been working to revolutionise the adult social drinking market, working with world-renowned neuropsychopharmacologist, Professor Dave Nutt, to create and bring to market Alcarelle, a novel biomimetic GABAergic compound designed to give adult drinkers what they want from alcohol, without the alcohol

David has developed the business from its biochemical research origins to an organisation ready to take Alcarelle through the US FDA GRAS Dossier process.

En route, David and his team have built a botanical proof-of-concept drinks business, Sentia Spirits, which has taken the market by storm as the only science-based functional beverage currently available. Sentia shows the market what is possible with GABAergic drinks, and sold over 10,000 bottles in Jan 2023, making it the highest performing botanical spirit on Amazon UK.

Alcarelle will go through the FDA regulatory process during 2023 to 2027, entering the US market as an ingredient sold to the Drinks Industry in 2028, then expanding into the EU during 2029, and Japan in 2030.

Fucking hell where you been special?

I walked past a big Sentia display in an organic health food shop today. Had to laugh at the tagline - 'crafted by science'

I wasn't tempted to buy a bottle - if it's not banned or age-restricted I can't imagine it would be much fun. Went for a delicious (and much cheaper) bottle of Fentimans Curiosity Cola instead

Yea . The sentia is not strong enough. My prediction is 2028 for the " real one". Till then we are stuck with either alcohol or something that is as mild as green tea.

Only spanner in the works is I definitely felt something that first time trying sentia but can't seem to get the feeling back.

If he actually creates something that 'works' I suppose it's perfectly possible that Prof. Nutt will make a tidy profit before the government bans it.
