What the Zaza?

I’ve seen this Zaza around. I’ve noticed it has the same colors describing the different types of pills as kratom does. Zaza Red, white, black, etc. The bottles are stocked and displayed right by the kratom extract shots/pills. I had always thought Zaza was a brand of kratom, but I was wrong.

Who’s taking these things? Can anyone tell me about these from personal experience? I’ve read on a subreddit stories of people addicted to them and trying to kick the habit. So crazy considering I’ve never heard of them before and there’s a whole group of people addicted.

I’ve read about the active ingredient, Tianeptine. Sounds interesting. But I wanna know personal experiences.

Oh yeah,

Tried Kava for the first time a few weeks ago. There’s a shop in Tampa that sells Kava shots and 3 types of kratom tea in tap. And right next door in a connecting shop they sell weed. Flower and otherwise. Amazing time we’re in now.

It doesn't take very long to cause withdrawal and not a very high dose and I speak from experience.

I only used a couple pills three times a day for 3 or 4 days just for mild relaxation cuz I didn't want to drink, and then I had horrible withdrawal.

If I were you I'd stay the fuck away from it.

Yeah I'd avoid it unless you have alot of experience fooling around with opioids. Not so much because it's especially dangerous in terms of acute risk but rather because it is pretty addictive.
 
Note that the actual amount of tianeptine itself in those are around 50mg, which can vary and is not actually listed anywhere. Tianeptine only has recreational effects above 100mg. It is used as an antidepressant at a fraction of these doses.

In short tianeptine is an antidepressant, when taken in overdose amounts, has clearly perceptible narcotic effects. It's like oxycodone-light, but a bit more stimulating. But again, each time you're overdosing on an antidepressant to get high.

That’s crazy. I have read about Tianeptine and. I thought to myself “That’s one I’m going to leave off the tried list.”

While I don’t ever plan on doing it. It shouldn’t be illegal. The south has all kinds of weird fucking laws. Glad I’m out west.

Definitely didn't make that list for me, though i avoid it, but I try to avoid all opioids.

I actually bought 2 grams of powder tianeptine (the least I could buy) not too long ago and took it all within a few days. It was the only time I've used an opioid this year as I try to avoid them.

In any case, there was a little rebound but wasn't too bad. I've been addicted to it outright before years ago at 1.5g/day and the withdrawal sucks, but at least it's short. I feel like the withdrawal from an equivalent amount of say oxycodone is not only more acute, but lasts longer. The tricky part about tianeptine withdrawal is the interdose withdrawal symptoms that eventually start occuring when you finally get hooked.

But as an advanced opioid user, I've gone through methadone, heroin and fentanyl withdrawal before, so of course by comparison tianeptine withdrawal was a breeze. All opioid withdrawal sucks though, and tianeptine is no exception. But relative to withdrawal from an equivalent amount of oxycodone, tianeptine withdrawal is a bit easier (although the symptoms manifest faster -- which is a good thing since it means they end faster too). The very rapid shift to the acute phase is probably why people perceive the withdrawal to be so bad.

It should definitely not be illegal however.
 
I tried Tia but probably not this brand. Interestingly enough, it did almost nothing for me other than a tiny bit of pain relief. But it’s kinda scary that my pain levels are such that I get no euphoria from it. But relief from pain can in itself bring on a certain kind of euphoria…
 
Avoid ZaZa. Good friend of mine had been a heroin junkie for years. She switched to ZaZa and swears that the withdrawal is even worse.

How did the pills make you feel?
 
Started wondering about these as I just found them at my local BP, and trying to decide between wasting my money on these, or on the O.P.M.S. kratom extract, which i certainly know is potent enough anyways 🤷🏽‍♂️. Noneoftheless I would love to know the actual dosage of tianeptine in these pills. I have a pure tianeptine source, so I suppose I will likely just avoid wasting the money on them.

So I’ll be completely honest, I have tried these and they suck in my experience. Like @xtcgrrrl they did nothing at all for me and get this I took an entire bottle.

So to answer your question, I think that they are not standardized doses imo. And maybe I got a rip off bottle idk. But the place I bought them from has always been legit and are very reputable in my area so it’s hard for me to believe that they are selling fakes. I bought 6 bottles total and they all did nothing for me at all and I was taking a bottle sometimes two at a time.

I was on Suboxone maintenance for 5 years but quite about a year before I tried the Zaza so maybe my tolerance is just too high. Yet I get effects from kratom so idk…juts my 2 cents…I think they are overrated and overpriced and inconsistent. You can buy real Tia for much cheaper online or at least you used to be able to legally a few months ago.

Depends on the state you are in but yes it is largely unscheduled for the most part. I only know it was being sold in gas stations now because of reported overdoses, and i see many people with the same products saying theirs contained phenibut as well, whereas the ones i found did not. It is definitely not standardized and largely depends on ones tolerance no doubt...conclusion, just get pure tianeptine from a reputable source.

The is the first time I've returned to Bluelight in a long time, and I'm seeing these bizarre things said about tianeptine, and, I generally expect a lot of strange things to be posted on this forum, but I'd say these are especially detached from reality. Tianeptine has been on the market as a legit, safe and effective pharmaceutical for decades in the non-English speaking world. There's been a lot more research on it than most recreational drugs... I could go on, but saying it's "a big enough problem..." is like saying "Weed has been such a problem it needed to be put in Schedule I along with heroin!" Drug scheduling in the US has always been irrational, emotional, and used by politicians to score cheap political points as "tough on crime" and "defending traditional values", and ensure extra funding for law enforcement agencies, "to fight the scourge". But all this is usually done without actually increasing public safety or decreasing crime. It's been that way since Anslinger schemed to get marijuana outlawed for openly racist reasons in the 1930s. The banning of substances have never been proportional to social problems caused by it's abuse. I suggest people don't research here, but look up Stablon and Coaxil, a couple of the brand names for tianeptine. Dosage is generally 12.5mg to 25mg three times a day. At those dosages, it really does work well as a tricyclic antidepressant. Now, of course recreational dosages and effects are an entirely different thing, and Bluelight should be a good place to research that. Yes I'd be suspicious of buying it as "Zaza". Does it have a cartoon on the package like the old "Captain Amsterdam" used to? Wouldn't surprise me. But I'm not going to be able to have a serious conversation with someone who thinks the gov'ts of Alabama, Tennessee or Georgia are actually responding in a rational, responsible way. What they should be doing is regulating and taxing them in a way that discourages abuse, and actively researching it. Tia shows interesting uses for treating IBS, among other things, that's right in the Wikipedia article.

Yeah I haven't seen tianeptine sold in stores. I've only gotten it from reputable vendors. Like others have said, it's an antidepressant that manifests as an opioid in dosages higher than 100mg.

I wouldn't trust buying it at the gas station or head shop, but if you have a reputable vendor to buy it from, that'd be the way to go.

It can be a strong opioid but tolerance builds fast and it is as easy to get physically addicted as any other, especially with it's short duration.

That said it was a very good antidepressant to me.
