Does anyone have any experience coming off of the combination of olanzepine/mirtazapine. This pharmaceutical industry I have a love/hate relationship with. So basically what happened was after being declared negative for schizophrenia after testing for it, I came off 7 invega injections total. The longer I was clean from them I started to experience symptoms I’ve never had in my life before such as medications I’d previously been on were now causing me auditory hallucinations etc and all the negative symptoms of schizophrenia. So, I’m back at the hospital this time was a short stay…17 days. I checked myself in because I had auditory hallucinations but was aware this wasn’t normal. I suspect it was caused from the delayed invega wd and having long covid plus taking the max amount of tylenol 1’s per day which was 12, and being on my prescribed dose of dexedrine. I’m suspecting it also has something to do with my dopamine receptors upregulating and becoming sensitive/normal again. So basically the auditory hallucinations went away after cutting out the tylenol 1’s and being on olanzepine for a few days. I’m a voluntary patient which means im free to choose accepting the meds or not but the doctor said I should be on olanzepine for 5 years. The mirtazapine was added to the olanzepine because of severe akathsia. Once again the antipsychotic has robbed me of all emotions and motivation/interest in anything. Has anyone had experience with this particular combo of meds and was it hard to withdraw off of?
Thanks,
Micah
