Mental Health Coming off Invega (paliperidone) injections, v 5.0

I had an injection of Invega, and had similar issues when it came to re-introducing THC into my system. It didn't feel right. It takes time dude... Try to find some things you can appreciate.. Like the fact that you have access to buds and can actually use them! Just one example. I know how it is when it comes to trying to stay positive. In times like these, it is the small victories that count (IMHO)! PM me if you'd like to discuss things more intricately!
How long did it take to recover from invega

Did someone here fully recovered from their anhedonia? How long did it take?
It's driving me crazy, I have no patience to any activity, things I used to love doing and could do all day, all of a sudden are extremely boring.

I suffer from anhedonia…it got better there for a while but then got worse again…seems like nothing really helps. I am on 20mgs of latuda so that could be the cause of it. But yeah no I can’t focus or enjoy anything really. I’m 9 months off Invega Sustenna

That sucks, it really might be the Latuda holding you back.

All antipsychotics block dopamine, that's probably why some people on this thread don't get better with side effects like anhedonia.
I think that clozapine and CBD (at high doses) might work differently, but the others are dopamine blockers. It can take some time to adjust. And there are no silver bullets to speak of. It's a process.

Do dopamine receptors get unblocked and go back to normal function? or, do they stay blocked permanently and get replaced by new ones?

There are a lot of cans of worms in this post. Like what "normal" actually is. I think that every cell in one's body gets replaced at some point or other. Neurons can grow back. We don't know too much of how these medications work, so it's pretty immaterial if both of those options lead to a similar result, barring brain damage, which is debatable itself.

The psychiatry industry is to blame for giving these medications to people without knowing how they work on them, all for the name of profit. This is beyond insane.

Latuda is a newer one. Some people swear by it. Others don't. It's tough playing the guinea pig.
Yeah i know a guy on latuda. He sleeps like 14 hours a day. And is very inactive.
So im currently off meds but i kinda think ill get psychosis again so im a have to get back on to something. Im thinking of trying caplyta. Caplyta seems to be the weakest medication on the market. So im guessing that means ill get less side effects from it. Anyways ill prolly try taking caplyta in like 5 or 6 months, since im guessing thats when ill get psychosis again.

Why do you think you will get psychosis?

Well ive gone off and on meds a couple times already and i always get psychosis again. So yeah thats why i think ill get psychosis. Most people who got psychosis once, get it again.

Btw i asked my psychiatrist like a month ago if i can switch to caplyta, and ahe didnt know what caplyta is. Lol i swear thrse psychistrist seriously are helpful with nothing.

Well ive had psychosis b4, hearing voices and all that. Like if i dodnt i wouldnt have been placed on the meds. I think its wrong to force ppl in psychosis on these meds. But whats really meased up is them giving these meds to ppl withojt psychosis.

Well. I think hearing voices come from another realm. You could be dreaming awake. Because I hear voices in my dreams too.

Yep, this is one of the ultimate 'red pills' that the psychiatric industry and the people who really run the world don't want you to know, I hope that this post doesn't get deleted, but many times the voices that 'schizophrenics' hear are actually what you might call negative astral entities or demonic beings, or some are ghosts. Here Jerry Marzinski who was a clinical psychologist who worked alongside psychiatrists in state hospitals and prisons for many years and discovered what those things really were..
