I was his patient all the way up until around the end of 2018 when he literally just took off from his practice and went to Germany, abandoning his practice, his employees and all his patients. No one could get their prescriptions, nor did he have a new doctor in place that we could go to or who would be filling prescriptions. There were patients who needed things like insulin and other life-sustaining drugs. I was buddies with his front desk assistant who became very closed mouthed and distant, but before he fled, she told me he was late on giving her paychecks and some had even bounced, and he had been having a problem with his malpractice insurance for a while.
In 2016, the year he administered my test and neglected to inform me of the results -- I think I recall he told me there was nothing wrong -- he was gone for about 4 to 5 months right before and it was told all his patients that he had been in some horrible car accident and nearly died from it. But after I recently reviewed all of the documents and legal pleadings from the medical association, he actually plowed into another car after bouncing off of a parked car, destroying both. His blood alcohol was over 0.7. While in custody the second day, he started going into detox and had tremors so bad that they had to send him to rehab where he supposedly developed sepsis (where or how I do not know) and was then pretty ill for a few weeks. I believe it was from the detoxing from the booze. I'm trying not to think about it because I become so enraged. I have always been responsible about my health when it comes to check ups, so when my doctor does something where I am helpless and simply uninformed about my entire health care, it just pisses me off.
I quit smoking last week and it has been the worst time to do so, and the fucking patches won't stick to my skin if I am warm just a tiny bit. I have to go hours sometimes with just gum or going to sleep for a bit until my skin is cool enough. Then I had to find an additional adhesive to put over the top of the patch. Waterproof shower patches seem to be doing the trick so far. I will not give up wine or beer and the Friday night illicit drug fest. I went two months without anything at all, even beer when I was on vacation in Montana and then when I had Covid upon my return. Life was never so incredibly boring as it was those months. I like to abuse my body a bit sometime.
Get me a triple cream brie cheese and French brie and I will eat it in one sitting. Talk about bad heart health!
I keep you posted as the drama unfolds.
