Nice, it's a great one and pretty obscure from what I can tell. I bet you could get a lot with the right crowd, my dad loves it and has a lot of fond memories related to listening to it on LSD back in the day. His favorite to talk about is Hard Coming Love, which is a pretty good one.

Dude, I've got that album on vinyl, original press, mint condition. I don't want to think about how much it would sell for in today's world, since vinyl became 'hip'. I looked up an OST from a favorite film and I couldn't find any presses for under $100, and it's an obscure, unpopular Polanski flick.

Discogs to the rescue, fantastic site and in the case of obscure/forgotten genres from 90s/2000s it's an excellent tool to find new music. In general it's often the very limited presses that get very expensive.

I used Discogs long time now too.

True, like a vault of rare gold all genres, if you know what You are looking for or seek something in particular. Especially the rave Techno jungle etc type unique recordings through time

Zoverstocks on Amazon, until dispersed or moved US, Used to sell ridiculously cheap CDs somehow for one penny, £1.26 shipping too somehow lol

Massive range too, everything.

1.26?? That's as fantastic as ridiculous.

Discogs is indeed perfect for electronic music from the 90s/early 2000s. Back when I still uploaded music to YT, I'd have a mental "map" of the whole electro scene from those years. All I did was scour through Discogs and then download the EPs/albums from someone on Soulseek. If it was good, I'd upload it, I had many gigabytes of music on my old laptop, all found through the holy Discogs.

I love Discogs. Funny, I thought that album would have appreciated more, but even mint 1968 presses are only worth 60-70$ now. I got mine for $25 back in 2013 or so.

The album I wanted recently was the OST from The Ninth Gate, but it must have been so limited a release that it's obscenely priced now. Even the 2016 limited represses go for above $100.

Do you know UK legend, Dexorcist, AT?
He used to make a lot of electro/breakbeat and even DnB in his early days.

Great name too! Decksorcist... =D

I don't! But I will look himup man. Thanks.

I totally stopped listening to music dead in 2005, Lyme removed any pleasure or interest in it from music until then being a power corner stone of my life and upbrininging.

I only began using internet in 2006 too, so otherwise, (intenet pre 2005 and or..I would have dug out infinite amounts since.

And yes, I like that DJ name too. 🙂

A childhood friend grew up to be a DJ and when we were children he was contemplating a DJ name I suggested DJ eclipse which is what he went on to become!

This is fantastic, have never heard of them before. Impressed with the use of synthesizers in 1968, really cool, very psychedelic stuff. Gonna have to give the whole album a listen thru now. Always find such great music in the PD forum 🙂

Was this a popular group can't believe I haven't heard of them before? after listening to moar it deff has that hardcore 60's Acid vibe going on.

Honestly some of the earliest synthesizer work is still the best. Of particular note is Richard Wright of Pink Floyd. He was an absolute genius with the analog synthesizer. He made that band as much as any of the others, in such an understated way.

It's funny because once synthesizers really caught on and became popular, it started to get so much, I dunno, just less good. The 80s synthesizer sounds were too much, like "look at me, I'm using a synth!". Pink Floyd and some other really early artists though, they made it sound so organic and tasteful and amazing.

I don't think so. They actually broke up before the first album was even released lol. Joe Byrd was a figurehead though and he went on to do one more album by 'Joe Byrd and the Field Hippies' that was decent but not quite as good IMO.

I was really into eclectic 60s psychedelia in college and so was my best friend and roommate so we would go to all the flea markets and thrift shops and find stuff all the time. The town we lived in was very hippy oriented for the South. I miss those days... I had a lot more hope and faith in humanity.

I have had some p-F-deprenyl for a while (4-fluoro-deprenyl, racemic), which is a less potent MAO-B inhibitor than deprenyl, from my research, and metabolizes into 4-FA and 4-FMA. Kinda nervous to try it though as it is an irreversible MAO inhibitor. But reddit reports are generally stating it is very nice, producing a pleasurable state and lots of focus and mood lift. Which makes sense. I am kind of attracted to the idea of it preventing me from abusing other stimulants because I do that way too often. While simultaneously producing the benefits I seek from said stimulants. I am nervous about long-term sleep disturbance though, as the effects are said to last for days. Not sure whether I will take it or not

That'd be enough to scare me off. But I've got a gram of 2-FMA I bought like... 6 years ago, never touched it. Heard nothing but praise about it, but... I like sleeeeeep!
