In your opinion, what is the point of life?

I very likely insulted you, but to me it's like a needle in a stack of hay situation to find where exactly, it's prolly just the whole thing, stack of needles, I'm not gonna delete it now after thinking about it for 42 fucking minutes how to not be insulting, so I'll just say sorry, none of this is meant personally I'm just an ass.

And you were correct imo. There's a reason why these observations have stood the test of time. My bad December Flower. In future i'll show more respect for the level of the dialogue.

It is apparent that we are here to self actualize and to integrate ourselves through experiencing polarity and the feeling of being separate and to expand our awareness of who and what we are.

So it can be said that the universe or god or however you choose to look at it, is actually a simultaneous juxtaposition of multiple things happening at once. And the reason I bring that up is because you can either say that there is no meaning and that we make our own meaning to life or you can say that their is a preconceived plan by a higher power that will reveal itself in the future. But the truth is that it is not one or the other. Because you realize that that higher power is actually you and that you as that higher power are creating that meaning for yourself. And of course I don’t mean it in the cheesy way of saying that you are metaphorically god or that the concept of god is somehow just in your head but you are, in a literal way, that very same consciousness that created the universe in the first place. You were the one who made the decision to create life and to create these conditions where we experience life in this way. And once you become familiar with that modality it becomes apparent that the reason we are here is to embark on this never ending journey of constantly trying to find out what we are and who we are and where we came from and to return to a state of wholeness and unified consciousness that comes as a result of going through this process of self realization and expansion of consciousness and reaching a true authentic feeling of connection with humanity.

But the reason I say that it is neither one explanation or the other is because god himself, despite what religion has told us, actually does not know where he came from or why he is here and is undergoing his own process of expansion which we could never comprehend in our current form. That is something that a lot of people do no take into consideration because religion has conditioned us to believe that if there is a god then he must know everything.
 
To me, i think my part is to be an example to my daughter that no matter what life throws at you, there will always be better days. In the last year and a half she has seen me go through things that would break most people and i keep pushing.
With a smile on my face and a positive attitude.
Most of the time. We all have our days. But we have a choice to stay down or get up and keep pushing for better days.

That's what Buddhism says. Personally I disagree though. I think the point of life is to experience this little slice of subjective experience from the unique viewpoint of you. Life isn't for escaping life, it's for living it. I think we're the universe experiencing itself subjectively, and the point is specifically to experience dualism, instead of being a singular point of awareness in a void all alone.
 
Harry Nilsson had a great album called The Point!

I've always thought it was genius.

The Point! is a fable that tells the story of a boy named Oblio, the only round-headed person in the Pointed Village, where by law, everyone and everything must have a point. Nilsson explained his inspiration for The Point!: "I was on acid and I looked at the trees and I realized that they all came to points, and the little branches came to points, and the houses came to point. I thought, 'Oh! Everything has a point, and if it doesn't, then there's no point to it.'"
 
To try to advance the human species forward into the future, even in the tiniest ways

It sounds kinda dumb, but i was inspired a lot by the Halo series as a kid. Something i took away from that is that although it may be futile, we are blessed with a beautiful planet and even more beautiful beings who inhabit it. There is always gonna be existential threats to us but that doesn’t mean we just give up (can you tell i dont like nihilism). The meaning is found in helping others. even if you wanna roll over and die they might not so you ought to try to help them if i you can

Be a good neighbor, essentially. We are stewards of this tiny corner of conscious experience and it can be really cool sometimes so lets help others experience the good parts

Maybe the most meaningful conecpt for this is to make your own life as comfortable as possible.
But then again, I have never cared about my life. I want to make those around me happy.
It's the purpose of my life. To better the world and lives of my loved ones.
 
life is a illusion a game. There is no point. Putting a end to your own suffering through liberation via meditation can either be your goal or not. does not matter since its all illusions within illusions.

Yep, very succintly said. In this insane cauldron of suffering. Its an opportunity for the soul to update/learn. Apparently having a physical body enables these updates in special ways. Trust your govts!
