The DXM afterglow is, in a lot of ways, the residual effects of DXM, the long acting serotonergic / dopaminergic / cholinergic action that DXM has that "purer" dissociatives lack. It's not the ENTIRE story -- obviously, there is an element of that afterglow that happens after every NMDA antagonist dissociative -- but it's a lot more of the story of the DXM afterglow than many realize.

This sort of effect from DXM is probably the biggest reason I like to add it alongside other dissociatives. It doesn't take much DXM to add that glow.

Unfortunately for me the afterglow of DXM is negative and I feel depressed for a day or two. ;(

How much have you rolled in your life?
Mmmm probably 4 successful rolls and 12 shitty/failed ones

I've had terrible luck/timing with MDMA in my life. Bad luck.

My 5-HT system is damaged, I cannot take any SSRI or SNRI. I don't think that's it, though since DXM has always had that effect on me since I was 12

There's a particularly lucid other-worldliness to high dose DXM that I don't get on high doses of other dissociatives. Could just be that, at this point, it's the language my brain understands, tho, lol.
To be fair I havent exceeded 300-400mg since I was a teenager, so maybe I'm missing out on higher doses.

I get a better and longer afterglow from K, but 24 hours after dxm (the entire next day) im basically a normal functional person for once. As opposed to at least 3 days benefit if not a week after a good K session.

I've tried to get to plateau 4 or whatever I've taken 800mg+ before, never really worked for me :(

Definitely gets into a unique headspace but I never really had a true psychedelic experience from DXM.

I always loved watching movies on DXM, you can follow along and get really deep into the movie.

Also IMO DXM can't really be enjoyed if you don't have any cannabis.

DXM + alcohol is also enjoyable if done responsibly, pleasantly spinny, but it's a dangerous combo and you have to keep it like 3-4 beers or else you'll explode. The dxm GREATLY potentiates the alcohol and gets dangerous very quickly. Always drink AFTER dosing, not before, and drink SLOWLY.

Just my 2 cents about it. I have a full bottle for a year now I bought to potentiate oxy and have no desire to use it recreationally. When I was younger I wouldn't be able to stop myself, but I'm a lot less impulsive and much less of a junky than I used to be.

Where are you at @Cosmic Charlie? Worried about you man...

I guess you don't really need a lawyer? Still trying to figure out myself what my best course of action is tho

How the fuck did you end up taking a bunch of chemo??????

I used a lawyer for my bankruptcy. I paid $1500 which included the court costs and lawyer fees, it was a piece of cake. Got over $40,000 worth of unsecured debt erased and didn't have to sell anything, kept my house, kept my car. I imagine you can probably do it yourself but there is a lot of paperwork which is what the lawyer is for. And you have to show up for a court hearing but it's one of those court hearings where there are a bunch of people and you are in front of a judge for like 2 minutes. It was probably the best financial decision of my life, I recovered my credit enough to be ion the 600s by 2 years later. Best credit of my life now (7 years later). And it's not even off my credit report yet (10 years for chapter 7 bankruptcy). But, if it's not an overwhelming amount of debt, it's probably better to seek other means. Also, make sure you're in a place where you won't just fall back into the same pattern (for me, I didn't do it until I quit opiates). I had $1,150 a month in minimum payments, which would have taken me 25 years to pay off at that rate. And I couldn't afford that much per month either, so every month I went further into debt in order to eat. It was fucked up the level of stress I felt all the time.

Bush went to look for the people responsible for the attacks in...Iraq. Even though the real perpetrators were known
Lol, he must have woken up 09/12/01, looked in the mirror and called out “I’ve found them hunny. Now to find my shaver of mass beard destruction where did I put that now?.... Can’t see it anywhere. It must be in Iraq.”
