Am researchng for an essay on porn and am wondering how some stuff on pornohub is even legal????

Seems kinda stupid to worry about being identified when you're uploading porn of yourself. :P

I can't say I'm especially concerned by the idea that these restrictions might mean there's only 180 lifetimes worth of porn on pornhub instead of 500 lifetimes worth. :p

Agreed and to think there is real incest porn out there you would think this would be illegal.

I think the fact that shady thinks incest is ok, is fucked up in itself.

If I had a friend who fucked his sister or a friend who fucked her brother, they wouldn't be my friends much longer.

I think it’s something like putting up a nude in TL. It doesn’t mean someone wants their name and address attached to the nude (or porn, whichever the case). And the ID would by necessity be linked to the porn.
Pre-COVID, there were some guys who worked at this gym I went to who were fired for using personally identifying information to harass and stalk female members. It happened more than once and with employees who didn’t work together. Something like is what I was thinking about maybe happening, like harassment or something nefarious.
 
The sad thing is, even if you completely "fixed" pornhub, there are hundreds of other similar sites out there where users can upload their own content. Ones that get much less traffic and are frequented by some truly disgusting people. I'm not even talking illegal stuff, but damn, there is some gross stuff.

I've actually been turned off of porn altogether because of it.

I was mainly thinking they could apply such regs to people uploading home-made content - since most professional porn producers are (supposedly) careful to make sure everyone is over 18, etcetera

I do think somehow applying standards/regulations is a great idea, but I also see the roadblocks. It’s worth a try.

That could happen.

But i wonder what level of harassment would people actually go to?

I for one can't really find a way to put so much energy into one person regardless of reason unless a strange fixation like a super fan.

And i just drove this off topic i think.

just noticed subtext on this thread re incest and thought I had to share that there's a lobby group in US to legalise consensual sex between brothers and sisters, provided contraception is used ....
 
shite... can't remember, would have to look it up, but about a year ago I came across this "free us!" thing for people in love with their siblings ...
 
seriously, I suspect quite a lot of people have had childhood/pubescent sexual interaction with siblings. Ie "playing doctors", etc.

My only sibling is my brother, four years younger than me, and he was always "the baby" to me, way outside any such scenes. But I've known women who've fooled around quite seriosuly with brothers or stepbrothers of approximately the same age.

Not "condoning", but I think this might be in category of "childhood sex play" quite a lot of the time.
 
I actually want to see these offensive films. I know people who work in porn and I might be able to expose some things if there's something off going on. It happens sometimes, and I mean in legal porn. There was a big case about 10 years ago where some porn actresses sued against a director for abusive language in a film and he ended up in prison for a while
 
Several well known male porn stars have been accused or charged with rape or assault associated with their work. Ron Jeremy was one and James Deen another.

One thing that hasn’t yet been mentioned in this thread is the significant number of female pornstars on PornHub, like Augst Ames, who have committed suicide in recent years. Apparently because of bullying and pressure to do scenes they thought were unsafe or degrading.

I am fine with restrictions on porn which is advertised or represented as depicting child-like individuals but I've also heard of cases in Australia where the authorities decided an actress (who was known to be of legal age) looked "too young" in a video which was not otherwise overtly trying to appeal to pedophiles and I thought that was ridiculous.
