Hello bl, I am a 30 yo male. I am a gasist (I fix and install ovens, water heaters, etc.. it's a really well paid job where I live).
I met this girl, a client, she is a doctor and she is 40.
I am very much into her and I feel good vibes from her side too.
The problem: I have a gf and she met her a couple of times (on a totally unrelated place) .
I am not asking if i should or should not cheat. What I want to ask is this:
On saturday I have my last day working at thw girls house. I will finish what I was doing. And I am 100% sure I will ask her to make me a cup of tea after I'm done and I am going to go for it (you only live once).
I was thinking of maybe going to her house dressed as a civilian instead of my work clothes which is the only clothes she has seen me wear. Is this too direct ? Should I be more suave and go with the best (just out of the wash and ironed) plumber clothes I got? Or should I go ahead with a more agressive jeans and leather shoes?
Please advice!!

99% chance OP’s gonna get a hot cup of tea to the face followed by said client contacting gf and subsequent break up.

As someone that also goes into peoples homes for a living and constantly gets hit on, just don’t even go there. My last client wanted me to shack up with her while I worked on her house lol, “oh I’ve got a spare bedroom it’d be nothing!”

Again I know what I speak of.. You talk like your going to be the one making the move, that’s not gonna bode well for you.

Also what happens if you come off creepy/rapey, word gets round and now your that rapey plumber guy no one wants to hire.

Step 1: Ask her if you can call her some time now the job is done
Step 2: Dump girlfriend (in as sensitive way as you can manage)
Step 3: Now make the call
 
so not looking for the go ahead to cheat but that seems what you aiming for.

But just go as you normally do, if you gonna do the nasty then the clothes wont matter as they wont be on to long. But why?
 
Keep it simple is always the answer you're looking for. Maybe she likes the work clothes as part of a fantasy?

On another note, I always wonder why in threads like these the folks asking for advice are so often like: "yeah I have a gf and will be cheating on her behind her back, but anyway..." :LOL:

I know right? It’s all anonymous and like most people I tend to over share here but advising the world in advance you intend to be an asshole seems kind of weird. Unless the advice you really deep down want is to be told not to do the asshole thing you just told the world you intend to do.
 
But honestly if you in a serious relationship then I wouldn't go there and if the relationship is not then break it off and then go for it. At the end of the day no one likes being cheated on. Reverse the rolls and would you be fine with her doing the same?

Sorry for being a buzz kill but i can't agree on the cheating part to be honest

Yeah could be that. Could also be seen as a bit of a boast (hey guise, I'm gettin' more than you!) or a troll 🤷‍♂️ 😀

Either way, it's cool, I'm not gonna be judgmental. Everyone's got their own thing.

Same. And if you actually ignore the bit about the girlfriend its a reasonably interesting question. I think dressing in ‘civilian’ clothes sends an “I’m trying too hard’ signal. If all the good vibes the OP got from his female client were while he was on the job in his work gear then I’d bet there is a young guy/rough trade thing going on. She may just be tempting herself with that kind of fantasy - it may not really be about him as a person at all.

Yeah the fantasy about the workman coming into the home is a pretty well worn sexual fantasy trope by this point. If the woman wanted a guy in a suit to show up, she'd probably call in a banker...

So sad, sex was something special for me between 2 people. Now its just normal occurrence and means nothing between the 2 individuals. Hard to find someone that still considers sex or loving making something and not to be shared outside a real committed relationship. But that's just me

There's lots of kinds of sex mate: romantic sex, passionate sex, convenience sex, aggressive sex, stress-busting sex, bored sex and so on, and combinations of all of them. Lots of people are into just one or two types at different times, including just romantic sex.

IMO people often needlessly overthink, compartmentalise and/or get a little too hung up about the various meanings of sex rather than just enjoying themselves and the person they're with.
