Social Justice Transgender and gender identity discussion

The fact remains that parents have to make decisions regarding their children, and infants aren't able to give consent. If the popular medical opinion at that time was that circumcision was the right thing to do, I don't see the point of retroactively labeling it as "mutilation" with the purpose of shaming parents who were only doing what they were being advised to do by medical professionals.

Some people today could easily describe sex reassignment surgery as mutilation... someone could say STOP MUTILATING YOUR CHILDS GENITALS!!! Even though that's a mischaracterization.
 
While I don't think male and female circumcision are equivalent at all. I don't think in principle parents should be allowed to make life long, essentially cosmetic, irreversible decisions on behalf of their children.

Neither do I think this "unless it directly affects you you don't get an opinion" argument holds any water.

People often make a similar gender flipped argument that men shouldn't be allowed to have an opinion on abortion, which I think is nonsense too.

The poorly kept secret is that the Left only cares about the T in LGBT...the far-left is just as out of touch and dangerous to the as the extreme far-right.

I completely disagree.

I think you are confusing concern with relevance. Do you remember just 10 years ago how noone even said the word "transgender?" Most people ignorantly called it transsexual.

Just because transgenders are getting the attention they deserve doesn't mean everyone else is left out in the dust.

And with the reactionaries on the right spouting trans-phobia someone like you might argue that homophobia is no more. And you'd be wrong.

It's just more fashionable for the right to make fun of trans people because it's new to them but if you look closely they are still making fun of gays bis and lesbians too.

I never knew vaginas had enough sentience to develop opinions on social issues.

But for real, it's just that homosexuality/bisexuality is much, much closer to being societally accepted than transgender. It's been in the limelight for much longer. So it's not necessary to push so hard anymore (though there is still work being done and there is still bigotry from some).
 
I love the revelation you get from guys like Soso in jumping straight to sex crimes from a discussion of being transgender. These views say nothing on the actual issue and a whole lot of awful things about themselves.

And yet, it's really only the cunts who have a deep problem with transgender people. Ironic use of genitals seems apt here.

For me, I honestly do not concern myself with this. I don't know why but the way strangers choose to identify themselves is simply not of interest to me. It's certainly not threatening to me in the way it appears to be for pricks who straight up think transgenderism is just another excuse to jerk off in front of women.
