Brexit: Are you a Leaver or Remainer....

Saw that show yesterday on BBC1 & to replace all the EU workers the Tory party are planning on letting in loads of workers from places like Serbia, this sure made me smile to say the least.

Yep, then they can settle in one area, become a majority and claim it as part of greater serbia.

Would make it a better looking part of great britain so I guess there would be some benefit.

I wish Thatcher was still aroind. At least she could make her mind up and get things done.

like selling off everything we own and making millions jobless and it dept yeah im sure she is dearly missed..

The party's manifesto advocated reducing the school leaving age to nine, the annexation of France, and the reintroduction of hanging, but only for "minor offences" such as littering. By contrast, murderers would be disembowelled, along with improper users of text language. The proposed rate of tax was 90%.[1] Immigrants would be repelled with boiling oil and longbows at all ports and airports.

Fuck the Tory party, I am going with the Death, Dungeons & Taxes Party.

I ain't a history expert but dithering around on this brexit thing is ridiculous. There's been heaps of time to prepare so just get on with it .

Was Thatcher the cne who got UK on the EU?

Btw do you guys have much confidence in may? do you think its time for her to go?

I'll double check and remove if wrong but I'm pretty sure it was Ted Heath, something I became acutely aware of during the acute but severe attack of Euroscepticism I developed nearly overnight in 1997 - the first election I was old enough to vote in. As I still lived within the West Mids. urban area my home was subject to the most amount of campaign literature and it was the material provided by the single issue Referendum Party that incensed me by not only presenting the negative aspects of EU membership but by doubling down on the fact that the deal had been done over half a decade before I was born (now I have fact checked that it was Heath).

Although I am still as stupid now as I was at 18, I am in my own opinion at least a little more informed and as such my current views do not reflect the snap judgement that made me completely waste a vote on what was only ever a political concept as opposed to a realistically electable party. I will not engage in any political discussion any more as despite voting in the referendum, the decision I made feels irrelevant in what just seems like a completely polarised global society engaged in post - truth politics. Nobody seems to want to engage in discussion any more and despite always considering myself as firmly left of centre I am as disgusted by 5th column liberals who go out of their way to take offence at anything for anyone as I am of those on the extreme right.

People should be liberal about some things and conservative about others. I am obviously very liberal about ones right to go to the pub and do a few lines of coke in the gents / ladies but if that person is a parent out every Wednesday, then I would be very conservative about the inappropriateness of a father and / or mother smashing it elsewhere rather than being at home on a school night.

If you wanna know about Thatcher, just think Theresa May but with fangs, claws and a huge pair of bollocks...

Not bothered either way. Politicians and media and them think tanka are just making many meals, or big dinners as my grandad would say out of the situation dragging on and on like ariston. Bordrrs and trade are all illusory concepts that people hoodwink themselves into having meaning and sway. Best to walk your own line and look after those who love you and you love than concern with these squabbles. Never lead never follow truth is always a bitter swallow.... Do do the swallow care?no they don't, they transcend birders and do their thing. Be free as a bird.

The issue is pinkpaver you try to live free some fucking liberal idiot or some far right clown will try to stop you or even kill you.
The left & right that feed their cults "logic" which in all tuth is bullshit act very bad against people that say "fuck you" to their logic & way to live.

You go ty tell a far-left liberal you want to own guns, produce your own medical grade heroin & have American pitbulls their eyes will pop out their head.

Yup, as you may have seen, new doggo has had her ears snipped. I'm not agreeable to that, and it's illegal here as the vet tut tutted at me. The irony being that many of them making the laws have had the snippet to their manhood. Just best to do what you do and tell none of them. Was talking to my aunt and she was on about the people that voted for leave didn't think of the farmers losing their subsidies. I didn't bother explaining that this is the problem the eu have created by creating reliance on their money. Subsidies only required coz they've driven prices down for the farmer and are controlling too much. Telling folks in Ireland not to cut turf. I'lltell you why, coz they like exporting it still for compost. That's the joke with Ireland, got its freedom? Changed its bosses. To Vatican then eu. The Vatican has a hand in the eu surely but don't mind all that. Ireland, the country that had nothing for my father's generation to stay for yet has plenty for folks from war torn corners.
Just live by your own laws etc. Its uncertainty and change folks don't like. Trust in the future and change. Its how I'm dealing with the detox. The uncertain future without gear can't be worse than the present with it so may as well give it a shot.

lol;)
Those kinda people are always sticking their nose into stuff imo (go figure folks)

All I will say to the rest of your post is I agree, I will toss this in there also & that is Arlene Foster & Mary Lou McDonald should both be given a huge dose of CBD weed & then listen to The Cranberries - Zombie

MOD NOTE: Not being racist costs nothing.

I have not read through this thread but I imagine I am probably in the minority as I voted for us to leave and I still would despite all the scare stories they are putting out to try and make folk change their minds and vote to remain instead. I am dead against a 2nd referendum as this is the first time my vote felt like it was actually worth something and could make a change. If the vote to Leave isn't carried out properly and not a lite version of what we were promised then I really hope that people take to the streets to demonstrate. A second referendum to me just shows that we don't really live in a democracy at all.

Its like leing in parliment used to be serious now its just a fuckin joke

This is the reason a lot of people voted unfortunately, the whole thing was deceptively sold as an opportunity to stick it to those in power, when in reality it was anything but.

As far as democracy... as I have found myself arguing fairly often, it's debatable how good an example of democracy the vote was given that the margin was so narrow, and the percentage of people who actually had a clue what they were voting for was vanishingly small. I'm not singling out any one side here either, there is a study which looked at how much Leave and Remain voters actually knew about the EU and found them to be roughly equivalent. But the result was decided on the basis of a propaganda war waged by the rich and powerful.

One could argue that the climate of austerity and fear that preceded the referendum already had public sentiment leaning a certain way... but it's not necessary to accept this was the case to recognise the problems with any argument invoking "democracy"...
