Good deal n take your time about it if all parties are agreed n you can Stand it. Seems the longer we stay in a stable situation, the better our chances of success on our own. Go figure.

The bad thing is, I was very successful before. I had an easy job made 11 dollars an hour, had my own place, supplemented my income by dealing. I just wasn't happy, still not happy but I have an actual dream to look forward to for the first time in a long time.

Excellent. Hang onto that n keep working towards it. Grab it with both hands, while you're young

Over time your goals n dreams will evolve ....some completely change but it sounds like you're on the right track

And yes--- inside i was never happy as long as I knew I was NOT doing what's best for myself

Shhhhweeeeeet

I went to college at age 30.
Got a degree. Iconcentrated on sign language interpretation & teaching (secondary school).

Was offered a spot at university of Iowa in Communications Studies the same DAY I got notice I was offered the job at an internet relay company working with Deaf folks all day long
I took the job instead of the further education I dont regret it but I do wish I had gone further somehow

Thanks RF :)

Yeah they're sucky but a migraine is worse. I had a migraine that lasted for 16 days once.

Omg that sounds like some special kind of hell 8o

Was it a full-effects migraine as well (colours, hallucinations, nausea etc).

I was actually offered a scholarship for English literature, back in High school. That was always the easiest for me, was very interested in it, lol used to go to class nodding from morphine, my teacher loved me, I actually wrote half of my English papers on drug use

I was real good friends with a professor whom I learned from and worked with at Community college (I tutored students to help them through his hard fkn classes)..... anyway we were real close for a good ten years.
He always said I belonged either in a courtroom as an attorney or In comparative lit -- I could have broken new ground n attained the PhD or so He said. Huh --- funny how we NEVER have as much faith im ourselves as others have in us.

You're young. Stock up on that Faith In yourself n don't let anything EVER exhaust it.

Did you take up the scholarship?

No, I wish I had, I kind of disappeared for a while toward the end of high school didn't even go to my graduation. Life kind of hit me hard, and I went awol for a while

There are programs. You can get your equivalency *& * still apply for non traditional student grants.

Sounds like you need to hop a greyhound to Iowa n live as my adopted son. Ha ha ha .....

Nah your plans are your plans but if you're GOOD you can get somewhere
