What were they like? My second-hand understanding is they were sort of speedy but not quite as harsh a ride. Mind, the speed was better in the old days. I got spoiled with some of the last of the good stuff before it turned to shite ..... rants incoherently at no-one for awhile, then shuffles off to check out the catalogue out of the Radio Times .....

They were very euphoric and empathogenic - more so than amphetamine. The active ingredient, diethylpropian, is a cathinone, so presumably it was a triple monoamine releaser - possibly similar to decent mephedrone. The comedowns could be fuckin brutal though...
 
Want a cocktail recipe bells/care+ brand codeine linctus the one w/chloroform in it to flavour/preserve it, add vodka, lime soda (tesco own brand) and float a shotter of ether in it, like a jagerbomb.

I call it the 'manhattan project'.
 
I was lucky enough to get my hands on some pentobarbital which was high on my list - v nice downer but destroyed my veins and was limping for a month when i was daft enough to IM it

Got my hands on a few pink dikes a while ago too but wasted them

Not from the past but always wanted to try hydromorphone also has anyone had that?

Top of my list from the past is of course methaqualone & 4-MAR but i don't hold much hope for these :(, or any other barbituates
 
Never use a needle with barbs, never snort either. ORAL ONLY.

Always wanted to try pethidine, oxymorphone, dipipanone, ketobemidone, nimetazepam and desomorphine.

wasthat directed at me? diconal are opiates, not barbs.

and me too! its got a bad reputation but i did some research on it and synthesized properly, in a sterile conditions and clean rigs it sounds extremely recreational;)
it was used to treat patients in the 60s/70s i believe? well, when i say patients, that would be russia. the p;ural does not apply to the only other country it was used in a medical environment. desomorphine was also administered in sweden to treat chronic, terminal pain but was only ever used to treat one male patient lol.

I have been lucky enough to be slipped a couple of tabs of Pethidine by my dentist, after an overnight stay in hospital having my badly-impacted wisdom teeth removed. (The X-ray shew them at 90 degrees to what they should have been, with the root pointing backwards and the crown bearing against each of my "no. 7" teeth.)

They caused my feet and legs to feel like balloons when I tried walking, and my peripheral vision to go sort of fuzzy and mono -- a bit like an analogue TV not quite tuned to the station frequency. And helped me forget about the brutal treatment that had been recently administered to my jaws :)

(Someone also burgled the house I had just moved all my stuff into; the ink was barely dry on the insurance policy, but they honoured the claim, bless them. My loss adjuster even pointed out that I should mention a full set of NiCads in every battery-operated appliance =D Yeah, I also thought they only ever adjusted downwards .....)
 
I meant never use a needle with barbs, take barbs orally only, and i know what dipipanone is and what it does.
 
On the pethidine thing, a friend of mine years back got them all the time - preferred them to heroin 8o - but never thought much of 'em myself.

What I really miss is the wide selection of weed and hash varieties that were widely available from any half-decent dealer bitd. Don't get me wrong, I do like 'skunk' but I would much prefer to be able to buy a henry of Thai or Bush or Lebanese Blonde or Gold Seal...
 
Mine would be a request to go back to the quasi legal mushroom situation in the UK - I know I can still get mushrooms, but going to Camden and having a seemingly infinite choice of varieties and also vast quantities and different products was awesome...

Really miss the vibe of the place too where a large amount of people would all be a little wonky.... Camden was a great place to be on mushrooms :D

Can't remember what years it was at its peak for shrooms, but when I find that time machine it'll get a visit for sure :)
