The DEA gets paid off this, they don't really want people to stop using drugs. They'd all be out of a job if that happened. Addiction is big business, alcohol and tobacco companies, the rehab industry, the court system, drug cartels, private prisons, police and big pharma all profit from the current system. They'd much rather keep us on suboxone or methadone than allow us to treat ourselves with a natural plant.

Really stupid question:

I have a scale. I've been using it to dose, and putting the Kratom into capsules.

This results in me taking a shitload of capsules, even with "00" size capsules.

My question is: if I wanted to use my scale to weight out via toss and wash, how would I get the Kratom back onto my teaspoon once I've weighed it?

I can't pick it up with my hands, it's like sand.

I know this is stupid, and maybe it's because I'm high, but how would I go about doing that?

I just know my DQ spoon slightly heaped is around 2.5g. - just know your spoon and eyeball it ...... Exact weight isn't necessary w/ kratom

so... i just got some Bali KratomI have never even taking kratom i just bought some because i take Subutex and if and when i ever somehow run out of subutex and i cant get it *most likely wont happen* i need to know the best way of using this or extracting it...like is there anyway to extact it from the leaves that i received?

I couldn't disagree more. 1 teaspoon if 1 powder can easily have > 50% than 1 teaspoon of another powder. I find weighing it to be extremely helpful for preventing tolerance since I'll be less likely to accidentally take twice as much kratom as normal thinking i just got some really potent stuff.

Hopefully they will not succeed.

9 senators including Bernie Sanders signed the petition to prevent the ban and I DO think it sounds like the DEA was pretty surprised and taken aback by all the backlash.

They MIGHT NOT actually end up banning it.

Only time will tell.

At least we have hope and honestly this is the only times ive seen some actions from our legislative branch that has directly, positively affected my life. It's nice to be heard. Except i never heard anything back from my senators

Something worth mentioning, though, is many of the senators and congresspeople who signed the letters have explicitly said theyre not pro kratom but are just wanting to make sure the DEA is not overstepping its authority.

There will be plenty of fighting ahead

It withdraws the prior notice altogether and provides for a comment period until December 1. It asks for an FDA analysis and says that after it reviews the comments and info from FDA, DEA will determine whether to use emergency scheduling for one or both substances, or permanent administrative scheduling through the regular scheduling process (or no scheduling).
"I’m still reviewing, but this looks like a big win."

AKA asks that, when the comment period opens, everyone hold off on submitting their public comments. We will relay their lawyers' guidelines at that time via newsletter and on the home page.


I don't even really use kratom anymore and already have a bunch but I'm still excited for everyone who benefits from it.

I am so happy.

I placed an order shortly before the end of August and my package never got delivered. I think it was either stolen or the mailman misdelivered it... The tracking shows delivered but nothing ever arrived. I ordered from a reputable well known place so I don't suspect scam. My local post office wasn't helpful, they claim it was delivered.

I was so annoyed and frustrated because by the time I realized I was never getting my package, it was too late to do anything about it. Grrrrrr!

Now I can have another chance to get some. Yay!

And I'm happy for all those people, present and future, that will benefit from kratom being available for longer. Hopefully it stays legal forever.

Part of me thinks the DEA may actually let kratom stay legal. That way, the next time they go all nazi banning shit they can atleast say "remember kratom? We listened to the public and did what was "right"". It'll be like a free pass/excuse for them to be even worse in the future... But who knows, I'm just thinking out loud.

I hope their reasoning is that it'll be like a marijuana 2.0 and they'll just slap an age restriction and tax on it instead. It would make a lot of sense and would make both sides fairly happy. I doubt they'll leave it completely unregulated though.

Just had one of the best experiences with Kratom the past two nights.

Last night used a green vein, tonight used a red.

Very, very pleased with this plant, and amazed what it does for my anxiety.

I've taken it about 4 days out of the last 7 though, so I will be taking a week off.

Luckily I've used different strains almost every time, so that helps.

Really hope it stays legal after the new date, this is a great plant that I think helps a lot of people out, but only if used with respect.

Have a nice stockpile, and will be ordering more to add to it.

I took around 8G of a horned red tonight, and have just been blasted. More so than than any other opiate I've ever tried (only done oxy a handful of times and at very low doses).

The general lack of significant respiratory depression is a huge benefit for me.

Def. won't take everyday though, so a week off it is. Really impressed by Kratom!

I'm not so optimistic.

I think it's REALLY important people continue to make even more calls and emails during the DEA's "comment period" but it doesn't seem enough people around here are.

I will make some myself once I figure out how.

I think that the DEA is banking on people having blown their wad already and then when not enough people respond during their comment period because they already responded before they will say "see, we gave you guys a few months to respond and you didn't respond much so we are making it illegal".

Then we'll all be like "yeah but we got 120,000 plus signatures BEFORE the comment period" and they'll be like "all that did was earn you the right to have a comment period which you didn't even use, and now we are scheduling it".

I do NOT like two things about your average drug user: 1) they are overly optimistic about things like these 2) they are often lazy and unwilling to take the necessary actions in a situation like this to keep their drug legal when they can.

I think that unfortunately the DEA may just be playing a "long game" now, expecting us to calm down because we think we won, and then just scheduling it at a later date.

I think we can only potentially stop the ban IF WE CONTINUE TO MAKE LOTS AND LOTS OF NOISE LIKE WE DID LAST MONTH!!!

Do NOT be foolish and think that the EVIL DEA is just "letting this slide".

We already have strong evidence that big pharma is trying to make drugs out of Kratom's alkaloids and is probably paying off or influencing the DEA.

The DEA STILL wants Kratom illegal if they can do so and I'd make a money bet with anyone who thinks otherwise.

STOP being overly optimistic and get active on making SURE Kratom STAYS legal!!!

Don't just drop the issue and be hopeful or we will lose this war.

It should be regulated, but it won't be unless its scheduled. Supplements have little to no regulation. Its highly unlikely it will be made legal a la alcohol or tobacco type situation. Not unless all hell breaks loose post-ban

Looking for advice on trying Kratom

So, (mods) I'm not trying to post anything illegal. But, I'm just hoping to maybe speak with some people about using Kratom to taper from real opiods. I'm currently on 25mcg of Fentanyl that is only last 24 hours or less for me, before I start feeling the WDs, and they are horrible. I also have access to x4 Hydros (10/325) a day, that I've had to taper my doses down because I've been using it took much, to help with the WDs from this short acting Fentanyl bs patches that should be lasting 72 hours. They just aren't for me. I'm going to have to cut my patches in halves, maybe even thirds to try and make them last until the beginning of November. So, I'm def gonna need something else to help with all of this, as I am already super sensitive to WDs (PTSD/Anxiety) and a weird metabolism. So, from what I'm learning from the Kratom megathreads and some other stuff on this site, is that some strains are stronger than others, and it seems that the only real issue is actually "pull the trigger" on finding an online store to buy from that is legit, and you won't get in trouble, legally with. I'm in the US (NM), and from what I understand from "headshops" and other places that sell it in the city, is that basically, they are charging you for a bag of (who knows what strain), and about three times more than what you would pay, just ordering the powder yourself. And apparently they put them in capsules for you, but you are paying for that convenience and getting about 30grams for what you could get 100 for. I'm not looking to spend a lot of money, as I am currently out of work on disability, and cannot deal with trying to maintain a job while going through WDs. So, it does actually matter what the best way to spend my $$ is going to be. Again, I'm not trying to ask for anything illegal here, just looking for advice. If there is an issue with this, I hope someone could maybe PM me, and guide me here, as I really need some good advice right now in my life. Everything else has been really shitty for me lately, and I really am trying to turn it around. Thanks guys!

Really, really pleased with Kratom. Have about 4 different strains now, and just very intrigued by this unique plant.

My current question is: Do you think dosing two days a week would be ok, and not cause any type of withdrawal? The most I plan on doing is 6-7G.
