Gibberings CCXII -- It's all about the length of the pocket clip .....

In a pub on the outskirts of Derbyshire. It's quite nice here. That is all.

We also have this weird (cool) thing here where garbage dumps have little shops attached to them, and they sell all sorts of crap that is brought to the dump that they think people might want.

On one particular visit to one of these "tip shops", i found a pair of insane psychedelic 70s designer sunglasses (Lanvin is the brand - apparently it's some kind of designer label that some of my friends were very jealous of), a sheet-music stand (always handy), a paisley scarf, a really nice leather jacket and a few other things.
All up, cost me $15 AUD, which was a steal. I could probably get hundreds for the vintage shades alone.
I love hunting through crazy second-hand stores, junk shops, deceased estates, dumpsters...and so on, because most of the other people that do that kind of thing are looking for - i dunno, lawnmower engines or old bottles or something.
I'm looking for trashy (stylin') rock'n'roll clothes and stuff.
The sort of things people's grandmothers throw out.

Man, velvet pants! I always wanted some velvet stovepipe jeans, and i randomly found some in a junk shop the first time i ever took mescaline. That was a good day indeed :)

You remind me very strongly of another Aussie I knew in 2007 from the above post.

Must've been a fucking marvellous chap! (Or a punk on acid with questionable sartorial tastes and/personal hygeine*)

I'm about as far from the obnoxious-Aussie-tourist-pisshead-in-Britain stereotype as you could get but all the same, i think a lot of us damned colonials can be a bit "feral".
I like to think of myself as a somewhat refined nutcase.





* incidentally, my standards of personal hygeine are exemplary. I'm just a very keen recycler of materials and fashion trends of the mid-20th Century elderly woman.
 
He was a marvellous and flamboyant chap, about a 4 on the Kinsey scale, with a penchant for discovering discarded exotic items of clothing on his adventures, and there was a lot of acid and other good substances involved;)
 
Sounds like a man after my own heart (though i'm a few points lower on the kinsey scale hehe)

Imagine what sort of miserable, empty, sad existence a person would have to have to engage in such pathetic acts of juvenile "trolling".
He's so pathetic that even his trolling is pissweak. There are trolls who get under people's skin by using their social intelligence; droppy has to resort to manipulate deeply troubled former members off-site.

Ignore the fool, he hates that.

I still fail to see why people are giving these trolls a voice ? If anyone really surprised that Evey is talking shit about them, referencing this site, our conversations ? She is shouting in the dark, by listening to her or acknowledging any posts in EADD is doing her dirty work for her.

EADD will move forward and Evey and her trolls will be forgotten about, this can only happen when people quit cross referencing the sites.

A lot of people in this section couldn't wait for her to be banned - now that she is no longer a member of this site, the same people are doing her dirty work for her by keeping this nonsense going.

Another lovely day here today, had a lazy lie in then he cooked breakfast. Not sure what were upto today, I think were going out for lunch and a few beers later either that or I'll do some stuff for a bbq and we can laze about in the sunshine.

Bastard of a cat woke me up at 4 to play - then it decided to get stuck in the bin, then it decided it was going to sit next to my face and clean itself. I had to lock it out at the finish but I was then wide awake :|, being the loving husband that I am I woke him up to see if he was still sleeping (as you do) as I didn't want to be awake by myself :D. I forgot he had early meetings today though and he wasn't impressed.

Thankfully it's the start of the weekend again :)
