Let me start off by admitting my ignorance. We didn't test the stuff, I just trusted somebody's word of mouth. I have rolled a few times in my life, namely in my younger 20s. I am a 28 yr old healthy female with a history of panic attacks and low blood pressure. Last night at approx. 6PM I ingested 2 small 'parachutes' worth of what I was told was Molly (with a close friend who is a 32 y/o male.) Initially felt quite in a good mood, not roll'y, but nice. We decided to shortly after ingest another small parachutes amount (way less than I have taken in the past.) What came next was awful and here I am 1 PM the next day still feeling the effects.

Initial Side Effects:
Rapid RAPID heartbeat
Pain in right arm, muscle cramps
Trouble swallowing, excessive urge to swallow, pop ears
At one point troubled breathing which I now think to be an onset of anxiety (as I am very prone to attacks)

My friend talked me through it (he felt fine for the most part, was having a weird roll) and even took more (I did not advise this, but he was fine) and we walked around town for an hour or so stopping for water, and coconut water for electrolytes. The persistent arm pain was sending me into freakout mode, so I just kept walking and walking.

Eventually after many hours of him talking me down and keeping an eye on me, I took a cab home. I tried to get my mind off things as it was 3 AM, so I tried to watch some tv but found it irritating and uninteresting. That's when the full blown freakout began.

I paced around madly convinced I was having a heart attack and wrestling with the idea of going to the ER. My BF kept calming me down, reminding me about my anxious/hypchondriac history. Eventually, I was able to be calmed and felt very tired as it was already 6 AM.

I awoke 3 hours later to more arm pain, tense tight muscles, and little tingles/shocks in my fingers and various parts of my body.

Now I feel:
-Easily sent into anxious episode
-heavy feeling in chest
-muscle cramps (not severe but somewhat painful), weird sensation in right hand/fingers
-occasional "over-swallowing" reflex
-Vision blur
-Mild tinitus
-Stupid brain

Thank you to whoever reads this and suggests any advice on how to feel better. I am going to try to sleep and talk myself down from this state.

We can start from an a priori assumption that whatever you took was not MDMA, but was some sort of stimulant.

The symptoms you posted are completely normal reactions to stimulants. (especially considering your self-identified hypochondria)

As far as feeling better: vitamin C, b-complex vitamins, food, powerade

TIME

It is extremely extremely unlikely that you did any more damage to yourself than would have been done if you drank 2 bottles of wine (actually it is much more likely that 2 bottles of wine would be more damaging to your body and brain than whatever you took)

I truly appreciate you taking the time to reply. I will heed your advice, and think twice before casually consuming anything. A million times- thank you, I feel better already.

some of those cathinones passed off as mdma can have very worrying side effects. especially if you "know which symptoms to fear". i remember having chest tightness, chest pains and tachycardia (plus depression) for a week following a single dose of methylone. other cathinones may give you similar symptoms.
if you decide to take mdma again, i'd recommend getting a test kit beforehand. cathinones typically give you different colour reactions than mdma.

Thank you for the insight. That was certainly not mdma. I have had some great times on it, never this kind of horrid reaction. Did you feel any pain? It's over 24 hrs later and I still feel some pain in my arms+fingers with fluctuating chest tightness. Some random head ache pains as well. I may go for an EKG tomorrow just for some piece of mind.

Thank you for replying to me, this has been so scary.

yes, i had pains for a whole week. the ekg is still a good idea. it's always better to be safe than sorry and knowing that everything's alright is also worth a lot.

It might sound odd or it might not, but a lot of those symptoms can come from a lack of vitamins and overall dehydration.

Thank you again, reading these responses has been really the only thing that comforts me. Day 2 feeling of being hit by a truck ( slept for a crazy amount of time (10+ hours) and woke up with a pretty nasty headache. Still feeling pains around my body, namely hands now. I usually have very low blood pressure, it feels higher still. Feeling nervous. Maybe benzo would help with tight chest feeling?

Thank you for your response. For some reason with my heart rate still not at what feels like a normal rate, I'm nervous to take supplements. I have good turmeric pills on hand, and will go get some b12 later today.

Feeling rough 2 days after taking a heavy stimulant isnt uncommon, so try not to worry yourself :)

My advice is; stay off bluelight for a week or so, eat well (plenty of veg, cut out processed/sugary/fast food), stay hydrated (water), keep caffeine to a miminum (green/white tea is okay) and try and do some exercise, even if its just walking a mile!

Sounds like your anxiety issue has played a big role here and is probably continuing to do so. If you have bad anxiety, id say drugs are probably not best for you!

Be sure to come back in a few days to tell us how much better you feel :)

Have someone else take your pulse after you have been sitting down for 5 minutes.

Stop stressing.

Eat normally.

Hydrate
