UK Ketamine Thread v.2 - shortage or not?

They still using pethadine in Aus?

They've pretty much stopped over here due to the toxicity of the metabolites. Its pretty much exclusively IV morphine nowadays. A of of hospitals switched from Diamorphine to morphine when Dia became hard to obtain (pharma I mean) a few years ago and have never switched back.

We used to use IV tramadol and IV Nubain in the ambulance service years ago but now exclusively just morphine...

The very first opiate I was ever given was IM pethadine in hospital in 1996 and unfortunately I really liked it :(
 
Yeah I still remember my first IV morphine shot from a testicular torsion. To go from agonising ball hell to pain free humiliation was a moment I'd never forget.

Yeah you never forget (unfortunately)...

Now I just refuse opiates under any circumstances even surgery which is a real shame......but my body just cant have them...

Just threw a shitoad of morphine in the bin which almost made me cry but had to be done :)

I dont know I've never had cannabis. The main reason I'm staying away from everything is all the driving I have to do and the fatal (for my job anyway) consequences of having a crash and testing positive for anything due to these strict new drug driving laws.....

Its just not worth it. I use NSAIDs and heat packs and am seeing the pain specialist in a week...

In trying to get a desk job within the ambo service that will mean only driving my own car and if I do I might be able to rethink pain management.... Until then though just got to put up with it :(

No. I was given it after showing up in the ED dept at a hospital in Sydney with a perianal abcess that was apparently the size of a cricket ball. I had 3 shots of iv Morphine and it did nothing for the pain. The nurse said he couldn't give me anymore and went and got a doctor who gave me IM pethadine which sent me to lala land. 25 min later i was in an operating theater. I was a very sick lad. Woke up with a drain hanging from one of my ass cheeks.2 weeks of IV antibiotics after that and tonnes of morphine and oxy and they sent me home...only to get so constipated i had to go back to hospital and they gave me everything they could to get my bowels moving including 3 litres of Moviprep which was fucking disgusting but still didn't work so i had another operation to clear out my bowels. The Ass Wars i call that experience.

But no pethadine is no longer used. It was some good shit though. Smashed me and got rid of my pain.

Duration and onset, and the effects are a bit different. Unpredictable stuff and doesnt like to be mixed with anything. And very strong. few dark and twisted experiences, and a few which have been ground breakinging euphoric. Also the afterglow from it can last for weeks, theraputic
 
After getting K in Amsterdam the other week for a festival, all I can say is that we are getting bumped like fuck over here:(

The stuff was ridiculous like it was 6 odd years ago and a line from a bullet had us wasted!

30 euro a pop and at least 10 times the strength.

100% like it was years ago and plentiful everywhere.

Won't be touching it again here until things change...
 
The last so called K I had was pretty crap.

Expensive lesson and all that... fun enough but not the real deal.
 
As anyone knows me, dissociatess are not my thing but I can tell you wonky lovers that my are and rippling through the UK saturation in alleged top notch K so hold/hole hard,,,
 
I've yet to come across some decent K on DNM - I'm sure it's out there just a case of picking the right source. I seem to pick the wrong ones, also the price is ridiculous now compared to olden days and i'm not sure if i've perma fucked my NMDA receptors from MXE + 3-meo-pcp use.

Meh. so far 3-meo-pcp has been my fave disso so far. Not what you expect from the traditional ones people are used to but I'm not aiming for a hole - I like the functionality / focus / creativity it offers, almost like a low dose of speed without any comedown.

I found in Pihkal/Tihkal the Shulgins have a dim view on dissociatives compared to psychedelics. But there is a good few ketamine reports and combinations in Shulgin's lab notes. I think the issue is people treat it like a true psychedelic, when I find it to be more like the chaos/disorder side of things. Anything goes and it should be treated in a light-hearted fashion rather than the 'truth' like psychedelics.

You're ketamine meditations and holes certainly wont be manifesting into anything. But for a bit of cathartic release/relaxing/recreational use it is great! Phens/Trypts/Lysergamides are where the real healing and work resides though.
 
As echoed by previous posters up the page, it's all pretty meh at the moment. Nice enough if you're dosing enough, but expensive all the same.

Think'll save what's left for the tail-end of any future trips.
 
Had some unreal gear from a German vendor. Small bumps just drifting in and out of a hole. Lovely stuff. All the UK gear I've bought has been shite though. I have to use DNMs as I've lost touch with my drug buddies and K was never big round these parts anyway.

I'm pretty certain it's because we get stereo isomer and that causes blackouts. I feel it's more prone to dark trips as well.

Up in Scotland at a festival the other week I had some ket from Aberdeen which appeared to be racemic. I shut my eyes and was sliding down along through holes and watching landscapes unfold behind my eyes and all sorts.

Proper kez.
 
Still easy to get in Kent for about £30 for .8 - great quality, just not a full gram.

Was getting full Gs if we bought 3g+ though.

I agree it's isomer related or to do with the synth. Don't know enough about chemistry but recently I was coming across a lot of blackout style ket, very cold k-hole. Then recently got a hold of some excellent stuff that was slightly more potent and much warmer/psychedelic. Much as I remember ket being years ago.

It's being heavily cut these days though. Any ket that you can't k-hole repeatedly on I would say is cut. None of this 'tolerance' shit people are thinking.
 
Had two types of ket recently.

One type white and weak.

The other pre-2008~ strength, easily, but again, stereo isomer, or whatever it is that doesn't provide CEV's or a smooth transition into a hole.
 
Am in Canterbury and can get it £25 - £30 for full ones. Quality can vary though depending on who you get it from. Big bits can be £800 a L or £1000 for unstepped on shard. It's all only just come back for me down here though.

Pretty sure I got sold tiletamine and MXP on different occasions during the drought but my dealers were too stupid to know the difference with tiletamine
 
All the k ive come across recently has been bang on, just as good as the old days. Pity its 40 per gram. Id usually get myself an 1/8 but find tolerance goes up so much after a gram that the rest is wasted towards the end of the binge but I cant seen to hold onto it untill its all sniffed :\

I find K to be just as morish as coke. If it became as cheap as it used to be id be worried that id be landed in full blown addiction so in a way the high price is kind of self limiting.
