Bernie Sanders

What about the truth of the Clinton foundation??? Remember the days when they dropped 100k on cattle futures and 110k back a month later. A private server as the top laison to the U.S.s foreign matters. A husband that has been accused of rape multiple times in which case where Hilary assassinated their characters. They are far more corrupt at the core than any trump university. You are an ideological zealot IMO

that's always your answer, droppers. two wrongs don't make a right...

since when is having strong feelings about an idea a crime? you have strong feelings about the second amendment which make you an ideological zealot too :) so i guess i'll take that as a compliment.

one person's ideological zealotry is just another's principled, passionate belief.

not very logical and you're starting to answer a little emotionally.

i'm not anti-american and mindlessly repeating it doesn't make it true droppers.

i don't know why you have to be so condescending just because of a difference of opinion. it's ironic and hypocritical, actually, because it's the kind of thing you criticize others for doing.

not very logical and you're starting to answer emotionally, both of which i know you claim to have issues with.

Even when your attempting to be curt you are condescending. What's good for the goose is good for the gander :)

In short I believe the constitution is concise and does not need to be changed you believe it should be altered with Changing times. Who is pro and who is anti here in your opinion :\

...you believe it should be altered with Changing times.
bullshit. and you know it. if you have to lie about or fabricate my position to make your case, what does that say about your case?

but i'll humor you. please posts links to the numerous bluelight posts where i've argued the u.s. constitution should be changed.

alasdair

absolutely. please post a few examples of where i have argued that the second amendment should be changed.

if i've done it as many times as you imply, it should not take you long to post, say, three examples.

i'll get you started (because there aren't any):
gun policy has to find a way to stop lunatics getting guns while enabling responsible citizens to exercise their second amendment rights without an undue bureaucratic burden.

that's my position and it says nothing about changing the second amendment. at all.

but, interestingly you say "In short I believe the constitution is concise and does not need to be changed..." but you posted this:
...these abuses are why the 14th amendment needs to be revisited.

which one is it droppers? because they can't both be right. get your story straight.

alasdair

So you agree the right to own assault rifles should be protected as well as my right to carry? Good. Tbh I simply trying to get you to clarify. You are like a politician on bl and rarely make any inferences/opinions that are absolute. I think you were heavily indoctrinated by the far left environments you have grown up in but could be shown the light if properly led.

So you agree the right to own assault rifles should be protected as well as my right to carry?
yes. because as i said months ago publicly and quite clearly: "gun policy has to find a way to stop lunatics getting guns while enabling responsible citizens to exercise their second amendment rights without an undue bureaucratic burden."

2nd time of asking. please post a few examples of where i have argued that the second amendment should be changed.

you made a claim. back it up please.

interestingly you say "In short I believe the constitution is concise and does not need to be changed..." but you posted this:

I really don't get your pov on this. Why vote for anyone if you find them unsuitable? No wonder nothing will ever improve in our political system.

And you think Hillary, perhaps the most corrupt and bought and paid for of all establishment politicians is going to improve the system? 8)

Because it's going to be either Clinton or Trump and not voting for either does nothing to help keep her out of office. At least with Trump there is a high likelihood he'll only be in the office for 4 years and then we can get someone better. As corrupt as the Clintons are especially with Obama now backing her, I have no doubt we will be stuck with her for 8 years.

If Bernie hadn't been screwed over by the rigged super delegate system I would seriously consider voting for the guy because I find him likable and trustworthy even if I don't agree with a lot of his views.

No I don't think she will however neither will Trump and that's my point. The people sell themselves down the river by taking what they consider the lesser of two evils. Those in power know as long as they put up two evils the people will choose one and they can carry on as usual.

I quit voting for corruption once I realized this. That was many years ago. I will not vote again untill I believe my vote will not go to someone I wouldn't trust in my home alone. The party's over in this country and we the people did it. We gave it all away so we wouldn't be inconvenienced by the truth.

You might like this and agree with it. Watch a little bit of it and see.

Not voting as a show of lack of confidence in either candidate is a vote towards the status quo. I hope you take part in local and state elections, as this is the way to enact change. I too find it difficult to vote anymore as every vote I cast I look at as a stop gap measure to keep whomever I deem more likely to hurt our country out of office. I am angered enough to take action rather than sit on my hands. Yes it is terrible that we have had a choice between the lesser of two evils, and when a candidate comes along that is electable is summarily pushed out of the running by voter fraud, and establishment politics is disheartening, but that is no reason to give up.

That is why I pose this question to you: What are you doing to help the situation?

@droppers: Yes there are many universal truths and unalienable rights that make our constitution amazing, but it begs the question: What of the rest of it? It was written hundreds of years ago and the people at the helm have been tearing it apart to suit their own needs. That is not to say that changes can be made that will benefit the people. Precedents can be set that will make the constitution more suitable to today's political, economic, and social climate. Also, you need to recognize that America is no longer #1.

In general people no longer vote towards the issues, rather they vote along party lines, or in blocks, or with their gender. This is exactly what the politicians want. It allows them to pander to specific groups to get large amounts of votes all at once, rather than actually consider the issues and help their constituents.

Why the hell does any citizen need to own an assault rifle? And I don't want to hear the old "so the people can defend against a tyrannical government" because America has been run by an Oligarchy for decades and these gun-toting "Patriots" haven't shit about it.

We have the most tyrannical government I can think of, but noone will rise up with their "patriotism, and their assault rifles" to do anything about it.
