Bernie Sanders

are you related to that other MMT who cries when people name-call?

i think we should be told.

alasdair

Not that I know of. Is it your job to swoop in and muddy the waters when your buddies can't handle the heat they bring on themselves ? I think we should be told if that's the case here. And please, tell me what other MMT you speak of so I can answer your question ? Otherwise lay off the obfuscation tactics. You don't intimidate me regardless of your "Grand Poobah" title.

Dude, guys, just stop. This is a Bernie Sanders thread. Here, this is what I'll do: I'm going to make a new thread in CE&P dedicated to left wing vs right wing "flame warfare".

Then we can argue our respective ideologies (or just call each other names) without straying waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay OT.

On an aside, I'm surprised that there are any conservatives in a drug forum dedicated to HR. The right wing has always been the group that has been staunchly "strong against crime" and aligned against decriminalization/legalization of psychoactive drugs. And when I say "right wing", I'm including Obama, all Clintons, etc etc.

There is no REAL organized left wing in the United States because it was stomped down every time it tried to germinate (see Pinkertons, COINTELPRO, fully armored riot police being sent to disperse peaceable assemblies, the systematic dismantling and co-opting of labor unions, etc).

I'm trying but they insist on coming back for more. "Just when I thought I was out they pulled me back in" --The Godfather (2,I think). But seriously,I'm neither right or left but some left wingnuts insist on insulting one into submission,or die trying.Like a drunk frat boy, they just won't take NO for an answer.Admittedly, the right wingnuts do it too but not nearly as obnoxious as my experience here.

Are any of you Bernie supporters going to come into clintons camp if he endorses her???

I hope the DNC gets all those thugs outside trump rallies at their convention. What's good for the goose is good for the gander
sure. for me, clinton is preferable to trump in the white house.

this guy - the one who cries when other people name call:
...name calling you so vigorously denounce.
it's like a bizarre klein bottle...

You don't intimidate me regardless of your "Grand Poobah" title.
not trying to intimidate you. just pointing out your hypocrisy.

I think both Hillary and Trump are cut from the same cloth. Just as Obama carried on with the same crap as Bush did. Personally although I'm a social liberal I'll take Trump because we know what he is. Hillary is a professional political criminal and knows the ropes inside and out. We lose in all cases. The will of the majority is to accept that so they can continue to shop and watch TV in peace. =D Until it's snatched away in one swoop. It's lovely to live with your head in the sand until that big dick gets shoved up your ass. RIP humanity.

Personally I see little difference in our two party system.

My guess is Bernie's decision to run third party or not will depend on how much money his campaign has left after the convention. General elections aren't cheap. That's why I donated again today.

Alright, this all started because Treezy was trolling again and claimed Pinochet was a good guy. Somehow you got looped in with his trolling.

Let's all call a truce, smoke a blunt, take a drink, snort a line, whatever it is we do, and try to concentrate on not letting our republic fall to an oligarchy.

Edit: Who am I kidding, anyone who knows anything knows it's already all done in terms of corporations mounting Lady Liberty and giving her the old in-out. The corporations and billionaires have it all figured out (for instance, GE is usually cited for this, but did you know that between 2008 and 2012, VERIZON'S [fucking Verizon for chrissakes] net tax liability was -2%?). Negative fucking two percent.

This is just one of the bad outcomes, but within a decade half the people in this forum are going to have their jobs automated. They'll be screwed and unless we have people making commonsense legislation, society is too because a 30% real unemployment rate hits everyone, employed or not.

Edit II: Fucking Treezy, man. Pops in, advocates for a brutal dictator, and derails us massively. Fuck off, Treezy goddammit.

He has "pledged" he wouldn't do it, didn't he? If he went back on his word, it would probably be the first time he's ever done so, and I wouldn't mind, to be honest. With so many Bernie supporters threatening to vote Trump in order to "salt the Earth" as I've seen someone put it, I don't care about the spoiler factor. She loses at least 5.5 times out of 10 against Trump, maybe more. The DNC has been it's own spoiler this time.

Is it though? It seems like Obama is nothing but a band-aid. They've defunded planned parent hood in states, LGBT people constantly get their rights and bodies smashed in despite the laws in place, the ACA and other government programs like the EPA are underfunded and then denounced as worthless because of this. The only time we had any real progress was in the first year or two of the Obama administration when people where pissed off at GWB and the Republicans. In the mean time Obama quietly reaches across the aisle and approves republican policies he agrees with and criticism for it doesn't stick.

He's said he wouldn't before when pressed for an answer, but it's not like he made a promise or anything. Situations change and I think most people would be thrilled he changed his mind. I certainly think he should if it comes to that. I know for a fact he never expected to be heading toward the general election with 46% of the popular vote. That's more than any second place candidate in U.S. history. He'd be totally justified imo.

This is why Bernie should run as Independent. People are ready to tell the 2 party, good ole boy establishment to go fuck themselves and if nothing else, his run will be the beginning of the end of the old ways.I pray(bad word here,I know) that he doesn't buckle under Barry's strong arm tactics.
