Recovery Another detox attempt.... U-47700 and Tianeptine.

have you trye methadone clicnic? even since it has a bad rap for it. it knid of help me, if you follow the problem and dont abuse it. its a good program?

we struck down the bill in florida. It is just asinine to take things away from people that could possibly help them.

Yes you can OD on mitragynine (one of the active alkaloids in kratom) but it would take some serious work and some pretty detailed lab knowledge to concentrate it into a size that one could consume, let alone hold down. It is just so close to impossible as to be a nonissue.

I was on Methadone 90 mg for almost 2 years, I did not like it.
Going to the clinic every day was horrible, the withdrawals were HELL.
I am too scared to get back on methadone.

proud of you, w0w. very fucking awesome dude. keep it up, and enjoy not being sick - you earned it. love you

Thank you so much. Much love to you too!

Same bill just passed in my state and is awaiting the governors signature.
You're from Florida right CJ?
That is so stupid they're doing this.
Kratom is a Godsend for some people, banning it hurts a lot of people!!

Remind me to respond to their post when I have more time, because I had exactly the opposite experience as you. Methadone saved my life, and I feel better at the end of my taper off it, even with it being a rather aggressive, than I did when I was at my high dose of 90mg or anywhere inbetween.

Every clinic is different after all, just like every drug addict. All the clinics I've been to have been pretty darn good though, so I don't know if I am just the ideal patient or just have been lucky, because I knlw there are at least a few bad apples out there (I am speaking of the clinics). They are by no means all the same though, that is for absolute certainty.

It's largely politically motivated; the republicans always swoop down to save people from themselves. Very disgusting. I'm glad I vote Libertarian.

I agree. Society is quick to ban anything without prior research.
"Hey Jim, Have you heard of Kratom? It got me off Heroin, It's great!"
"HEY FRED, JIM SAID HE DID THIS DRUG CALLED KRATOM, HE SAID IT'S LIKE HEROIN. WE NEED TO BAN IT!!"

Ahhh, Yeah. I heard it just recently got banned there.
That's a damn shame.
That's where NC got the idea to ban it I think.

I am pretty sure that there are anti-drug think tanks that write up these bills then send them to anti-drug lawmakers for introduction to the state house. That's why it seems like these bans happen all at once. I expect Kratom to be more or less dead with 2 years.

Dead as in completely banned everywhere and no where of getting it?
Sort of like what happened to "Bath Salts" ?

Honestly, if they ban Kratom, I'm getting off of it.
It's not worth the felony charge.

Yes but it will be harder to get then "bath salts" as kratom has very little recreational value outside of its legality and price. Both of which depend on it staying legal. Like you said if I am risking a felony then other opiates are the way to go.

I would stock up. It is an herb much the same as cannabis that should be the right of the individual to decide for themselves if it is right for them. How many other medicines can mitigate so many withdrawal symptoms without having an insanely bad withdrawal profile? None. that's how many.

Exactly, EVERYTHING has some sort of withdrawal.
Something should be banned if it causes overdose.
Plain leaf Kratom can NOT cause an overdose, It would be around the same category as marijuana.
There is no need to tread with caution with Kratom like other opiates.

Yes, if it's banned there's no point to even try to obtain it, it's simply not worth it.
Kratom is so cheap, I refuse paying some crazy amount when you really can't get all fucked up on it, at least not for me.
It has kept me off of harder drugs, it takes away my cravings, and let's me function normal.

All I can do is HOPE they do not ban it.
I believe we will know if it's going to be banned tomorrow or not in our state.
I think if it's banned, we have until December 1st before it becomes in effect.

I will think about buying a couple of kilos before the ban, but I'm still unsure if it's worth it because I'm on probation
and my PO can come search my apartment at anytime.

So I need to get off Kratom due to the ban coming. I was thinking about getting one 25mc/hr 72 hour fet patch and where it for 3 days then just use a small benzo after. My kratom use has been almost over 50 grams a day and I just want to get off it quickly. Any insight would be appreciated. Would it do more harm than good? Thank you, much love.

I would stockpile some now, in case there is a ban. There is no need to keep it at your house. I am about to start buying big on different strains so that way myself and my close friends can have it. I don't plan on relapsing, but if I do I want to know that I do not have to turn to methadone or suboxone to be able to wean down again.

W0w0mg - I would rush the kratom taper until you know for certain that it's banned. Nothing is set in stone yet, and I worry that if you rush the taper it could cause a relapse. You're doing so well right now that I don't want to see you risk your progress over something that has yet to happen.

Thanks you both. I won't rush it. I'm just starting to get antsy. I want to be off everything here soon because I feel my kratom tolerance increasing and I don't want it to be hard coming off of it.

Just make sure you have a non-drug plan in place to help yourself come off kratom.

Exercise really helps me. Activities and hobbies like camping, hiking, walking, or video games, reading, etc. can really help.
