And to think I used to spend money on injecting myself with powerful toxins.

I always took some sick Junkie pride in my IV technique, only ever missed a tiny bit of one, lone, single shot and 99% of the time I would register and lift-off on the first attempt. I actually used my technique as a yard stick - if I couldn't hit in the first two attempts, I was too fucked to be using needles that I was blunting every time.

I don't know how people mess up so badly with IV. Maybe I have a steady hand but never missed even 3 days into an IV coke binge. Obviously bruises but I seem to bruise easily. I've seen mates black and blue with red lumps though :\

I definitely prefer smoking my drugs in every way possible, IV if I had continued I'd be dead.

IV is easy - until you run out of decent veins.
 
Thankfully it's something I seem able to pick up and drop far easier than some, I tend to shoot for a few months and then switch ROA. It helps to remind myself that the less frequently I do it, the longer I'll have easy access and so ultimately: I can simply use more drugs.

Ofcourse I didn't mean to sound crass as I probably sometimes do. I meant some people I know seem to butcher themselves just the first night.

You're right. I've also known people that have progressed from first taste of the needle to full time femoral vein injectors in the space of a week (presumably because that was their perception of what 'proper' junkies do). Thankfully, that's a line I never crossed (well, only twice - the first time was fine, the second time I missed horribly and shit myself up so much I never tried again). Now everyone I see who habitually groined their shots either has/had DVT or has lost a leg.
 
Yea mate it's a bad road to go down. I will happily vape most things but IV I will never do again too slippery a slope and not worth it VS the effects of vaping to me.
 
You have to remember your average Junkie isn't your average BL'r. We absorb information endlessly and unconsciously, so frequenting this forum gives us a false idea of "normal".

I actually had 2 Junkies I had to pretend to befriend to score (oooh, the joys) refuse to believe I was an IV Heroin user until I registered, shot and got halfway to nodding before either of them had finished trawling a single one of their scaley, stinking, necrotic legs.

*That sounded awful without pointing out they were dumping bags into dirty water, heating to boiling, no filter, and shooting before it cooled with pins older than I*

Went around to my parents' for dinner tonight. My dad was telling me about one of my mum's straight-arsed friends, who had occasion to use the word beaver in front of my parents and sister and her daughter, and could not understand they were all falling about laughing .....
 
I slept like shite, Can hopefully get an hour in before work! I'm still not a happy bunnie. I need hugs off my Sham mostly.

I wouldn't mind one off of Sprout,Flo, treacle, Ceres, Scotch, Julie or Fubar either.

Yeah, I'm soppy right now which means I am defiantly in need of cuddles.
