Sprouty you'll be surprised at how many people believe "legal highs" are canaboids. I remember asking a friend in recovery what are legal highs n she said synthesized weed. This is an ex heroin addict n the group were some hardcore druggies; addicted to crack n heroin. I remember coming to bluelight n continually hearing about "research chemicals" n so I, one day, asked the people of EADD the same question that I'd asked my recovery group; "what are legal highs?" Snolly PMd me explaining what they were n further to this I did some Google research n discovered that they are merely similar groups to the normal drug groups but a chemical may have changed to make them legal - but they can be psychs, opiates, stims etc.

To cut a long story short it is surprising how many former drug-addicts are pushing for the banning of "legal highs" are not actually fully aware of what they are - but rely on media coverage (usually of deaths where no drug or history is mentioned only that the person took a "legal high") - to form judgement.

Maddening.

Went to a wicked Day of the dead art project last night. Was going to trip but by the time we got our make up completed it was getting late into the afternoon so decided a nice dose of MDMA was more appropriate. Quality tequila sponsor + DJ's/ mariachi bands plus active art section = great night. Walked home holding hands through a post thunder storm streets, home fucking by 9pm.

Oh shit sorry I forgot you're in recovery. How is that going? How are you doing your recovery? There's a lot of different approaches n I'm with two different groups who have different views. One is intuitive recovery - another is NA / AA. It's funny but I clashed with a lot of 12 steps forums yet these people i know in recovery are lovely, though intimidating. They've lots of positive msgs on Facebook.

They, I sometimes believe it or not, go on outings. I may actually pluck up the courage n ask if I can go with them to the New Year Warringtom NA convention. Kids can go - but would i be a hypocrite?

Anyway are you on Facebook smacky? There's lots of positive n inspiring msgs on there that could help you. Do you work? Volunteer? Depending on your approach of recovery they claim helping (NA call it service) is a way of also helping yourself stay "clean"

I have for the first time in my life heard the term "shirt bacon" Yes my child tried to hide bacon in his shirt. I cannot stop laughing.
 
A 3 hour drive. A cancelled ferry. A jobsworth stopping my van because it has a bottle of "inert" gas that she thinks is flammable... later... I'm still not on the boat.. bad day.
 
She's nearly smashed my window in her eagerness to tell me to turn my engine off.. it's not even on 8) I don't think she's very weĺl
