Psy997 that's pretty cool, I think it's on the right track to become something, just refine/expand the vision and you will have a solid message!
 
Basically because we wanted a place for people to post general "I'm tripping" stuff so they wouldn't post that so much in topic-specific threads. Also I think the sense of community here can be daunting to some people. This threads gets a whole lot of views but the vast majority don't ever post it in. At least that's my guess as to why.

nice sound! :) I'm listening to it with my beyerdynamic studio headphones right now. I'd make the kick with the long decay a little less loud (maybe 2db less), same thing with the clap. these elements are owerpowering it a bit. but from the musical idea I like it a lot :)

the pad-ish synth in the background could be a tad bit louder/more present as well!
 
Sup guise? It's been a frustrating few weeks since getting back from Unamericastan... I'm still stuck on medical leave (the semester started this week), and the school's staff psychologist recommended that I take another semester off, despite my repeated explanations that I have no fucking way to finance 4 more months off without student loans. Got another meeting with the dean of students on Tuesday to make my case. Law school is a fucking pain in the ass even when I'm not actively in it.

On the bright side... I thought I was out of weed, then I found the other ounce I stashed away before leaving town and forgot about. At least I don't have to go through this weekend in academic limbo sober. Okay, that was never really a risk, between my bulk supply of alprazolam and my collection of serotonergics... :p
 
Howdy nod! It's going pretty well, a nice quiet Friday night. Got a packed bong, some Beats Antique playing, and I'm about to re-rewatch the Mr. Robot season finale - can't complain!

I am playing the keys (I don't have a synth keyboard yet, it was a piano sound on a Yamaha, but of course not a real piano). Thanks. :)

Got a show tonight... our second show. I'm excited about it. :)

Haven't listened to the jazz funk jam yet, but eagerly anticipating it. :)

Best of luck at the show tonight. Breathe easy, be loose, play loose, and don't be afraid to let an improvisational peak take you over!!!

Hope you at least get an AUD recording. :)

I hate the whole ring thing. I had one--very inexpensive with a diamond so small you had to use a magnifying glass to see it. The diamond chip flew out of it when I got it in my head to try skateboarding at way too old an age and landed on my ass for my stupidity. I paid the neighborhood kids to go out and look for it with flashlights but I'm sure it got lodged in some tire tread and took off for parts unknown. Got over the loss immediately and realized how un-me it always was anyway. I don't like wearing rings because my hands are always either in dirt or some messy art project with the kids at school. We've been married 30 years this coming December--no rings and none needed.In fact we could have done without the wedding and the license as well IMO. Basically you either want to do this or you don't--all the ceremony in the world won't matter one iota. :)

Now that I've sounded like a total kill-joy, may I say, CONGRATULATIONS!<3

Unlikely we'll get the show recorded. But, thanks. :) It really doesn't make me nervous to play, I think we're all at our best because there's nothing like live music performance to put you in the moment.

I think the 2nd take of jazz/funk I posted from the other day is the tightest one throughout but both have really great parts. A lot better than the first one I posted of it.

Thanks herby. I appreciate it. Yeah, I don't want to seem cheap, but I don't think I'm going to put a lot of emphasis on it. Maybe I'll just go buy something I can afford right now. :)
