Have you had it out in really bad wind? We've been seduced by these pop-up tents twice now, and both times they've been a huge mistake. Not designed for Scottish weather.
Even our big beast with metal poles was flattened by the katabatic winds coming off Loch Lomond last year (at Cashel). We had to buy new poles and put her into tent hospital to get some rips repaired. That was a traumatic experience actually... and being on the comedown from MXE didn't help either.
