im just curious if anyone has been prescribed anything that is not approved already as an antidepressant or taken any illegal drugs long term that has helped with depression?
it cant be something that you took a one of and felt less depressed. It has to be something you took daily for at least a month or so which maintained the anti depressive effect without high or lows.
I noticed ketamine is being researched as an antidepressant. and then there's ALKs 5461
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ALKS-5461 (if u don't already know what it is)
it makes me think that just about any drug if played around with could potentially help depression.
ive been taking bupe for a few days. only 2mg and I feel a little bit better.
I don't know how to define the difference between an ant depressive effect and just feeling high or euphoria. I don't know if theres a defined medical difference which makes it clear?
tramadol seemed to help m motivation. I know tramadol is actualy an SNRI but its not prescribed an an antidepressant though. Maybe it should be.
when I used to smoke nicotine sometimes made me feel better. but they would have to make a long acting nicotine. But that's already similar to bupropion which is used for depression which I havnt tried.
small doses or any opiate have an anti depressant effect. Maybe some you don't get a tolerance to as fast. And you couldn't abuse them. Maybe some people who are doses daily small doses or methadone may know if it has helped with motivation or anything.
