Does anyone else WAY prefer Clonazepam to Xanax?

I find Xanax enjoyable, and somewhat recreational, but I find Clonazepam far more useful, in particular for anxiety. I can't really feel Xanax as such, it totally fucks me up, but no real physical sensation is present. Clonazepam washes over me like a soothing sea, relaxing all of my muscles and calming my mind, almost as if I were on opiates. I also seem to be less prone to blackouts on Clonazepam. I find that Xanax is great for one off situations that present extreme anxiety (such as flying), but that Clonazepam is far better for general use.

I love waking up early in my college dorm room apartment, the sun streaming in and gleaming off the skyscrapers. I would usually feel full of anxiety and apathy for the day of classes ahead, but I pop a 2mg Kpin, make breakfast, then pop another 2mg as I walk out the door to my first class. I feel almost drunk as I go throughout the day, happy, confident, social, positive, but with none of the dysphoria and dirtiness that alcohol gives me. I still feel the effects strongly in the evening, and it kills my usual habit of staying up late on the internet, I usually lie down at about 10 PM, and rapidly drift off into a deep sleep, the clonazepam only just starting to let go of me. With Xanax, I would have to fight the constant urge to redose, and would probably give in at some point, resulting in blacking out for up to 24 hours, taking all of my stash and getting myself into all sorts of trouble.

Clonazepam just feels so much warmer and fuzzier than Xanax, like a chemical hug that lasts all day. Again, Xanax was the first benzo that I tried, and I enjoy it greatly, but Clonazepam is worlds better to me. It may come from having moderate social anxiety, but a day on Clonazepam is nearly always enjoyable.

hell no, xanax is my favorite Benzodiazepine besides maybe Restoril.
Xanax is the best chill-out pill i've found so far

Hey, whatever works for you. Bodies are strange and different and fickle things.

It sounds like you enjoy clonazepam a whole lot, and I'm glad it's helping you. However, be careful... benzo withdrawal is from what I hear the absolute worst (I've kicked h cold turkey a few times and I would NOT want to jump into benzo withdrawal pond) and it can be very dangerous. So try not to get your tolerance up TOO high.

.I like Xanax but tend to keep re-dosing, then end up just going to sleep. I don't feel the need to do that with clonazepam. It relaxes me without too much sedation but I guess everyone has their preferences. (Moving to Drug Culture)

I prefer clonazepam due to its longer half life. Xanax leaves me back at baseline 5 hours after dosing.

Out of all benzos i find that xanax hits me the hardest.. for anxiety i prefer bromazepam

Absolutely. Although Xanax for me is short acting.
Bromazepam works all the time, given the dose I´m in of course..

I also prefer a good dose of Clonazepam, love waking up the next morning still feeling good/chilled out.
I enjoy Alprazolam as well but it doesn't last long at all IMO. Lorazepam is also one of my favs especially mixed with a lil bit of Alprazolam.

Alprazolam+GHB is also pretty sweet ime. There are also some more rarer benzos out there I'd love to test out as well.

I like them about the same for recreational use but I find clonazepam more beneficial for general anxiety uses for the entire day.

yes, i'd take klonopin over xanax any day.

i'm glad i prefer it too because the rappers all promote xanax so it costs more.

I haven't had xanax but I noticed when taking 1mg clonazepam for the first 2 hours I would almost feel drunk and at the same time I was using etizolam for weed wd while the etizolam doses kept climbing the 1mg kpin always had the same effect.I took the kpins for almost a month and usually dosed the etizolam later in the day or before bed.I would prefer kpins to etiz which is supposed to be something like xanax but not quite.

Hmm I don't know. I like both. Xanax and etizolam I take on the daily but the half life sucks and I feel that I am in a constant state of benzo/thieno withdrawal even when I take them. However I have had bad experience with clonazepam in the past because taking it on a daily basis for recreation, it tends to build up in my system and after a week or two I will be in a benzo induced haze where I am an asshole and not like myself. Alcohol does not help.

They're pretty equivalent in terms of strength and clonazepam has a hell of a lot longer half life. It is not surprising really.

lol, I know what you mean about the benzo hazes. When I first started expermenting with benzos, I would often go for week long binges, dosing Clonazepam each morning, and Xanax throughout the day. Entire weeks of this still only exist in my memory as slideshows of short memory clips. Now that benzos have lost their initial novelty, I find them much easier to control and use.

The good thing that clonazepam is there to stay with that half-life, so you definitely don't feel the need to redose as you would with alprazolam.

The only good things about alprazolam in contrast to clonazepam, is the punch it packs.

Nothing beats temazepam though

Well, Klonopin works good for anxiety, and no recrational value for me at all anymore it seems...I hadn't any in a while and had some since thursday,besides making time go by faster and anxeity relief, to me thats all they are good for...I mean I took 17mg today trying to get a benzo buzz, but to no avail, really just feel like I took a medical dose of 3-4mg. Now Xanax/Etizolam I like if you are talking about more of a benzo buzz, hits fast and actually gives me euphoria. Really thought I would get more from 17mg considering I havent been taking benzo's at all for almost a month until 5 days ago...Valium also gives me euphoria at 30-40mg, but I can only take it at night because it just makes me wanna lay around,eat, and watch TV,hate taking that during the day. But ya, Klonopin for strictly Anxeity relief, and some kind of short/fast acting benzo for fun...too bad Etizolam is illegal in my state, that happened so quick.

Xanax is more recreational but I value clonazepam way more as a functional drug for medicinal use.

You can snort Xanax and that gives you a high. Klonapin either doesn't effect me or just makes me sleepy - unless you use it to potentate Opiods or more likely pills.
