Ok so I have serious back problems and go to a Spine & Pain Dr. Recently I changed insurances and primary care Drs. So I needed a new referal for my Spine & Pain Dr. I went to my new primary care dr and she wrote a new referal and wrote for all of my prescriptions for a month to hold me over. Well as for my pain meds she wasn't comfortable giving me what they were. They were giving me 60 perc 10's a month. 2 a day. Well she wrote for 60 perc 5's a month. So what do you know two weeks passed and I used them all. And my referal still isn't approved. So I go back to this new primary care dr and tell her the truth that even though I was only supposed to take two a day after trying that and not getting releif I took more and was now out. She wrote me a new script of another 60 perc 5's. I took it to Walgreens and they said it was too early to fill it. I explained what happened and that I talked to my dr about it and everything is cool but they had to call her anyway. So I say ok and sit in the little waiting area. The pharmacist calls my dr and I literally hear the pharmacy telling her that it was only 10 days (first off not true- second off fuck her) and that I shouldn't need them. Ummm what? Lady knows nothing about me or what I go through daily. So this new dr of mine just says "ok" and they give me my prescription back and had written RTS 2•6 on it. First what does RTS 2•6 mean? I'm no dummy so I'm guessing return to sender ? But the 2•6? And second, can I just take it to another pharmacy that doesn't know I just filled it two weeks ago? I know my insurance is probably going to flag it or not pay for it so whatever I'll pay if I have to. But does Walgreens share their info with other pharmacies? Will CVS or the small local pharmacy know that I just filled it??
