keeping drugs recreational

I've read some threads of people asking if you can keep Heroin and Meth use recreational and not develop a habit and most people said not likely but some said you can. What about rx opiates like vicodin or diluadid? Morphine? Are those easier to keep recreational? What about adderall? And how hard is it to keep coke recreational?

Look, so far i've done 20+ drugs and i've kept everything recreational and now I consume 2g on Weed on a weekend only and trip on hallucinogens occasionally and take bennies for long flights.

Keeping drugs recreational is something I wish everyone in the world can do but sadly we have people slaving to needles and pills. Anyway if you wanna keep things recreational then you MUST learn AS MUCH AS YOU CAN about the drug you wish to take. Trust me, it's worth it. Then you must tell yourself that you are to never take said drug everyday for any period of time. Trust me it's not that hard. You must also have a PURPOSE in life, be it school during the week or work, make sure you only do your drugs on the WEEKEND as this is when RECREATIONAL activity takes place, IS IT NOT? Then you don't FUCK WITH ANY OF THE MOTHERS IN THE DRUG FAMILIES, that'll be Heroin, Meth, Crack, PCP and all those dangerous ones. Why I place these drugs here is simply because the risk outweighs the rewards with these fuckers and chances are you'd end up addicted so why take it in the first place? Leave them for your deathbed, like me, I'd be doing a speed ball followed by crack when i'm dying. :)

Anyway, those are the simple guidelines to keeping it recreational. Now to address your concerns, YES some people can keep the mothers at bay but do you want to take the risk and find out? I mean, is H really that worth it?? RX opioids should be abstained from as well as these drugs all lie on the road to heroin. Eventually you up the dose and then change ROA and then the RECREATION is removed from the drug and you become an ADDICT.

Stimulants like adderall should never be used to accomplish any daily activities as you will find it much easier to do all amp'd up and eventually that leads to addiction and then heart problems later in life.

Cocaine I have found to be overrated and but when drinking it's very tempting to have a lil line but to be honest that's where I stop. I've noticed that after the first line, all the other lines make you feel like shit and the drug becomes annoying so for cocaine I would get faded drunk then pop a bennie then sniff ONE line then pop another bennie.

Also don't look to take bennies as they are not recreational no matter how many times your favourite rapper mentioned xanax.

IF you wanna look at drugs like me then this is how it goes:-
Hallucinogens:- Psychedelics- to be taken to meditate and reflect and learn about myself. Dissociatives- see psychedelics
Opiates/Opioids:- To never be taken more than twice a month regardless of the type.
Benzos:- To only be used as a tool(come-downs, journey sleep or a relaxing sunday with some beers(occasional)
Booze and Weed:- To be used occasionally.
Amphetamines:- To never be taken because they do not agree with me
Cocaine:- To be used in ONE line regardless of size.

For how spot-on and responsible your post was, this is absolute horrid advice. Benzos and alcohol are very, VERY bad in any amount, and you're saying to actually get drunk first, then start popping benzos and sniffing coke?! And then take even more benzos??? Dude...that will kill you with a quickness especially if you have no tolerance to anything as you seem to suggest. And why the benzos? Didn't you just say:

don't look to take bennies as they are not recreational no matter how many times your favourite rapper mentioned xanax

Just be careful man, and be extra careful when offering advice to someone like the OP.

Regarding the question, the first part of PotatoMan's post is fairly accurate. Basically, as soon as you take a drug outside of a recreational setting, you're risking the other side. Keep them recreational by keeping them recreational, simple as that. I didn't start smoking pot outside of weekend-nights until I started smoking in the day time and going about my day high. Same with kratom and other opiates in general, I took them and went to work once. Never looked back.

Put it this way, your recreational, fun times are usually always different, they change rapidly, and most of the time don't come with a strict plan, schedule or expected outcome other than "lets have fun". If you add drugs to the mix, all you're doing is enhancing your fun or adding a new way to have fun. Your normal life, though, is most likely routine, you go to work, you go to school, you come home at a certain time every day, you leave at the same time every day, go to bed, eat dinner, see your housemates, your neighbors, coworkers, all these same stuff, same time, every day....and let's face it, most of it is boring, tedious, undesirable anyway. At least when you're out having fun, you're still having fun, drugs or not. Work will always be WORK. Now if you add a drug to your routine one day, you're going to upset this routine and now you have this one day that suddenly stands out over every other day as being particularly better than the others. Now, each time you go through your routine, which is daily, you'll be reminded of how much better the day could be like that one, awesome Tuesday when you popped a percocet before your shift. Simply knowing how something effects you in a recreational setting, like coke, does not indicate how it will affect your normal, sober routine, it's quite different and far more alluring.

TL:DR - Don't do it outside of your recreational settings. Keep them recreational by keeping them recreational.

ok im sorry bout the cocaine but i was just saying IME i like to take benzos before any uppers as it takes the edge off so in a sense i'm not using them for recreation but as a tool for the edgyness. But my cocaine experiences i guess i shouldn't share but that's how i've managed to never binge unnecessarily on blow n shit. The bennie would keep my head on and im talking really small doses to avoid lethal downer intoxication.

It depends on your usage. Do you redose, do you take them on impulse or is it planned, how often do you use, do you use often if you have a supply? These are all factors but there are many more. the easiest way to keep it recreational is to have unreliable contacts that don't have large supply's. only have 1 contact maximum for each drug and once they are gone don't look for another, at least this is what I do.

I haven't had a problem with hydrocodone and was using it on and off for 3 years, my contact dried up last summer and I never found another, or looked. I don't know where I would be now if I still had a connect for hydro, maybe I would be addicted maybe not. I used to have a really good supply of methylphenidate (ritalin ir) and I abused the shit out of it, I was pretty hooked. Again that source dried up but I would probably still be doing lines 3-4 nights a week if I still had access.

If you keep your supply scarce you will never have enough to get addicted but that's easier said than done. People that deal as a limited side hobby are hard to find. Anyone that deals meth or heroin is probably a pretty dedicated dealer and will likely have as much product as you do money. It will be incredibly hard to keep meth and heroin recreational without getting addicted.

Do you wake up in the morning with a sense of purpose? Do you have long term goals that a drug addiction will surely stop you from achieving? Do you have activities that you enjoy sober? Do you ever go a day without wanting to get high?

If you think about doing drugs all day every day, you're already fucked and this is not going to work out for you.

I've been successfully chipping heroin on weekends for the better part of the past year. The only thing that keeps me from falling in the trap is the fact that I've been there and know where it leads, plus I have a multi-million dollar business I own that'd go up in smoke. Although lately it's been getting harder and harder each Monday morning. I can definitely feel her grasp on me is tightening.

Time for me to take a break.. soon.

I so agree with this. I am a recreatioal Meth user (Friday night and all day Saturday, 1 gram broken into eight doses between two people and only once every 6-8 weeks) for the last year. I have a great job, and am working up the corporate ladder. My job and home are my primary focus. Doesn't leave a lot of room to obsess about anything else, and gives me my purpose in life. When I get high, I prep for it, plan it, and end up having a great time. Then I put it down and come back to reality. It can be done, but I don't think all users can. You must have a strong will and not allow the drug to consume you.

I'm also a recreational meth user. My method is to buy a 50 bag on Friday night, stay high Friday, Saturday, and most of Sunday, then eventually comedown Sunday night/early Monday morning and go to class the next day (on Monday...luckily my first class is late in the day). 50 bucks worth of meth will keep me high for about 2-3 days, which just covers the weekend. I don't trust myself with buying more than that amount because I know that I'd stay spun all day every day, that's just the way it is with me and that particular drug.

Even with recreational use I still run into problems. I'm a social recluse, for one, and staying in my room all day doing drugs doesn't help that. Taking hit after hit and I don't give a fuck about anyone or anything in the world. I get dehydrated, I stop eating, my skin dries out, I don't or can't sleep and by Sunday I look like complete shit. Plus I live with another person and I've very wary of them finding out about my habit. A 50 dollar a week habit isn't much though, and I can afford to sustain it.

it's possible. we used to calling it "chipping the rim". I have been using in "cycles" for a few years now, never doing more than a few days, and making sure to take off 2-3 days in between hard drugs to avoid dependency. the only time this is not something i can do is when i have a large amount on my hands, but i tend to limit myself because of that tendency.

Addiction can be a slow and insidious threat that grabs you when you least suspect it. Be careful.

Also, if you do not have a tolerance to benzos I don't think you should mix them with booze. At the very least you will act extremely foolishly and will regret it.
