What's Good on European and African TV v. Walking the Dead

Anyone seen Black Mirror? think a new season of thats gonna be on again soon

Oh dear things have been so chaotic here recently i cant remember if i ordered and received homeland season 3 or not, i certainly cant see it anywhere, better check all those online shopping places i use. 8( It would be nice to have something good to watch tonight.:\

yeah i ordered it, must be around here......somewhere

EDIT: Yes! Found it, under the sofa, along with my watch that I'd been missing for some time and £1.10 in coins. That was well worth moving the sofa for. :)

Hasn't everyone seen it? If not, they should.

The new one will be a one-off feature length one at Christmas time.

I can't believe people with an internet connection still buy box set DVDs. Or Blu-rays. In this day and age.

Yeah same on owning the physical thing, although recently been downloading, some copys are the same quality as blue ray, & a usb stick to watch it through tv

After two house moves, I've totally lost the need to own things like DVDs - I've only held onto a few favourites, and I charitied all the rest that were only ever watched once.

I hardly even torrent or download either - if you haven't tried it yet, you might be surprised at the high quality of streaming nowadays.

Yeah streams are decent, streamed some stuff in the past but dont like watching films or tv series on pc monitor, pref to use TV. Got loads of DVDS after years of buying, slowly getting rid on amazon

Ive spent hundreds trying to get my newer pc fixed, since it was destroyed by hackers, thats the one that can be linked to a tv, the thing still doesnt work though. I cant afford to throw any more money at the problem right now, so dvd box sets it is for the time being, where i can watch a 40" screen from the comfort of my setee, rather than a 19" on a pc desk, and office type swivel chair, even if it is a relatively nice one, its just not the same viewing experience..

Transfer the downloaded vid onto a USB stick, bang the USB into the tv and vola. thats what i do, never linked my pc to tv

I think own about 3 actual albums not bad for 20+ years eh, but yeah samsung tv 3 usb's also can stream from cloudshare or dropbox orsomeshit via the tv and what not plays mkv files, im watching the new drugs inc this week "super meth" damn those shards make me wanna get some more ;)

good idea, might try that one day. I must have loads of films and tv series that ive got dowloaded onto an external h/d that ive not got round to watching yet. Having a computer that you can plug straight into your TV is definately where the future is at though imo.

too fucking noisy! unless you build some micro-atx media server usb stick in the tv is the future!

i have about 300GB of blu ray rips on an external hdd, i used to watch any films even if they where crappy cams, the only time i can actually sit and watch a few films is on acid haha

I take it you've got a new-ish Smart TV?

Hundreds on a new hard disk?? Did the hackers smash it with a hammer? ;)

We just use a VGA extension lead from the laptop to the TV, and plug in the speakers. The last 10mtr VGA cable was definitely under a tenner from ebay.

I'm sure you've thought of that though. :)

yeah, the tv is recent, i believe its semi "smart", has all sorts of internet streaming fetures etc, and has the right connections for pc input and all other bang up to date sockets for w/e gadgets you might want to attach. That PC has been one problem after another though ever since i got it, which is where the hundreds went, i havent replaced the hard disk yet, i'll do then when i get some spare cash. I wish id never bought the thing. I should have smelled something fishy when it was the last one in the shop and the box was taped up as though it had been returned. I'll know never to buy anything that comes in a box like that ever again.:\8(8)

After gaining control of my pc, the hackers systematically destroyed the o/s, even went so far as to put a pswd on the bios to lock me out and try to prevent me reloading the o/s. Yeah i know now you just need to remove the battery overnight to reset that.

There were also a fair few "user errors" on my part, shorting the thing out on one occasion, restarting it too quickly on another, which fried the motherboard. Nearly all of this happened when i was using PV. :o:|

I think Shambles was the first one ive noticed make the call that "computers and pv do not mix". I know exactly what he means on one level, but on another level they were absolutely made for each other.:\

felix, i suspect we'd get a lot out of a convo on the same subject. or, rather a lot of others might benefit from such a convo should we have one. phone only tho

Ehhh... I'm not sure how anyone else would benefit from the two of us having a phone conversation? Not sure what you're on about.

you seem to know yr tech. n stuff. a number of peeps seem to be having similar issues of which you seem to be fairly knowledgeable about. not everyone has been posting about them here either. being ex staff might be an added helpful addition too.

eh. nvm.
