The Big & Dandy AL-LAD Thread - Part 2

What does "alf-nose" mean? I know who is Alf, and that his nose is big. You nose become big too? Or it is hard to breathe through nose? Or what?

Is not about nose. I mean penis size reduction on vasoconstrictor substances.
 
So finally tested AL-LAD twice a couple weeks ago. First time was at 150 mics, and I had little effect, so I upped to 300 mics, still weak for me. Possibly due to tolerance from 4-aco-dmt.

So i waited for tolerance to drop for 2 weeks. My second time was at 450 mics and it was lovely, comfortable, and lucid. Effects began after 45 mins, but really started peaking with excellent visuals at about 90 mins. It was a very short trip, coming down pretty quickly at about hour 5 or 6.

My conclusion though is it was quite amazing, with a euphoric body effect. Comfortable mindset with little anxiety. My setting was good though, by myself, during the day.

Thinking of testing the sinister brother LSZ next for a more introspective experience.
 
Don't be afraid of giving LSZ an honest chance. I like it quite a bit and have done it a number of times. It's less visual (or at least more subtle) than AL-LAD, but I find it to be a bit deeper and obviously longer lasting. I'm bummed that there won't be another batch, as I've found it to be a nice little psychedelic ally.
 
Yes, there's nothing sinister about LSZ! In my single trial it was like a slightly introverted, chill, less manic, variant on LSD. I think it's really interesting. The Z in the name makes it sound more badass than it feels IMHO
 
I concur that lsz is more subtle, but quite groovy just the same.

So I'd like to report back after my Al-Lad flip.

I ended up taking 130mg of very high quality MDMA and 150ug of Al-Lad. Wow. I was at a HUGE indoor rave. For the first hour or so I was a bit overwhelemed but the rest of my night was awesome. I don't know if it was the bodyload or what. If I was not as experienced, I might have had to leave. Once I peaked, I was fine.

You guys were right - 100mg of MDMA would have made it a bit more manageable.

I did notice some vasoconstrcition/blood pressure issues (feeling tight in my veins/heavy heartbeat) that I have not experienced while taking the substances independent of one another. Made it a little uncomfortable but I kept watching myself and I was fine.

At one point, I was waiting in line to pee and the music affected my vision to the point where every wall was liquid and rippling to the bass. Insane.

Interesting. I would have expected a more severe reaction to 450 µg. Some people would have got stuck in thought loops on that. I found 300 pretty strong myself. I did try 450 of LSZ once. I still didn't get much of a trip out of it, just more "acid indigestion" than with lower doses. However, I was still nowhere near chucking, just an uncomfortable feeling in my gut. I expected worse than that. Visuals consisted of some haloes, that's about it.
 
Did 600 ug yesterday, was phenomenal. Even at such high doses, it's a remarkably lucid, easygoing chemical for me. The visuals were pretty insane, but mental effects were manageable. Everything I looked at was covered in glowing red and green runes and symbols. Three dimensional polyhedrons were twisting around inside our lava lamp. My attention span was destroyed and I was racing down extended tangents one after the other, but I never felt out of control or lost like I've gotten on shrooms. It seems like I'm in the minority here but I've found it to be very rewarding at higher doses.
 
well since SSRIs cause serotonin receptor downregulation, it would definately take more than one day to get full effects from a serotoninergic psychedelic. but it is not advised to do that because SSRIs tend to have nasty withdrawal symptoms, which would make a trip completely pointless and unenjoyable anyway.

I'd advise against not taking your medication just because you wanna trip.
 
I'm on lexapro and I trip fine, although 100 ug wouldn't register for me. Don't stop taking your medication. Just try the dose, and if it's not satisfactory take more next time.
 
its not about downregulation, its about getting the ssri off the receptor depending on its halflife
