Gabapentinoids The Lyrica (Pregabalin) Mega Thread v 2.0

You are welcome!

Just found this:
Four serotonin receptor antagonists—ondansetron, granisetron, dolasetron, and palonosetron—are available in the United States. Tropisetron, while not approved by the FDA, is available internationally.

Maybe one of these other three can help you.

I'll have to ask my doctor about the Ketamine... however I don't think she would go for it. Especially since it's a schedule I controlled substance, which correct me if I'm wrong here, I believe is the worst schedule that a drug can be in. That being said, and after looking into Ketamine a bit more as I'm writing this message (I run duel monitors), I'm actually absolutely positive that she wouldn't prescribe it to me. In fact on wikipedia it states, "No prescriptions may be written for Schedule I substances, and such substances are subject to production quotas by the DEA." So even if she decided to help me out with that I don't see how she could. Thanks to all who have answered this thread. It pretty much seems dead now but I'll check back in a day or two to see if there is any more activity.

I'd definitely try and ask for the memantine. It's a weaker NMDAR antagonist (same type of drug as ketamine). It's not even scheduled (at least not here in Sweden). While memantine alone might not provide sufficient pain relief, the effect stacks up when combined with pregabalin and/or benzodiazepines. Problem is most doctors have no clue what it is or that it can even be used for pain management.

I have a question to you guys: Are any of you getting fat from this med? I've gained 10kg in less than a month since switching from gabapentin :/

Hi, i'm new here, just wanted to post about this stuff, basically i have had a drink problem, 4 damaged vertebrae in my back, an anxiety problem, and some deja vu type feelings, so this drug is about right for all 3 of those conditions. When i first started taking it (75mgs) i didn't feel anything apart from a slight wobble in my movement, after increasing to around 225mgs a day mixed with codeine you can deffo feel something new, its almost like having a few beers without the shit taste, i'm currently on a low dose, so i look forward to seeing what 600mgs feels like if my doctor does what he says, and increses slowly..

Oh and i forget to take my Clonazepam when i'm on it, which says a hell of a lot for its anxiety powers..

I've been on it for almost 2 years and it's made me a little pudgy in my belly but no actual weight, it's kind of funny seeing as I'm 130lbs skin and bones. I'm guessing my drug use plays a large part in why my weight hasn't gone up.

I'm on it for almost two years, too. I'm over 190 cm and only a little below 75 kg. I've gained no weight at all. I'm eating a lot (and also a lot of calories) and gained no weight at all.

What dose do you end up on after 2 years?

The first year was 150mg a day. The second year they put me on 300mg a day but I take anywhere from 150-300mg depending on how I feel and I usually only take my dose at night because I don't like how spacey it makes me when I take it during the day.

I take Clonazepam 2mgs a day, since i've started Pregablin, i've gone down to 0.5mgs per day because of the spaced out feeling.. Its an interesting drug.

Yeah pregabalin potentates benzos quite a bit and works great when you come off of them. This last year I was also dependent on 15mg temazepam and when I decided to come off the withdrawal wasn't too bad in fact using pregabalin, weed and antihistamines/melatonin I never missed more than a couple nights of sleep.

That cool, i used to drink a bit, but the urge even to have a can has gone just now, Pregablin is the strangest drug i've had, how does it work? and have you had that drunk feeling or euphoria people talk about?

Someone else will have to answer on how it works. Yes I have gotten the drunk feeling off of 300mg(haven't gone higher) early on when my tolerance was lower but in wasn't all that euphoric...I really liked combining it with temazepam, far more enjoyable.

Would a safe dose of Clonazepam say 1mg, and 300mgs of pregabalin get you chilled? whats the combination like?

I think I initially started with 75 mg, then got up to 150 mg, then 200 mg, all dosages twice a day.

Now I take only 50 mg twice a day. If I only do it from time to time, 100 mg give me a nice calm euphoria. I can take more, but at some point it messes with my walking and thinking, especially memory.

I have been on Lyrica 300ml for 2 years. I think I have mastered them in what works and doesn't. For best results you always need at least 600ml. You also need to skip days! This is very important. If you want to enjoy the euphoric buzz from lyrica you will need to take them every second day. Lyrica seem a very strange tablet there is days you could take two days in a row and still get a high one the second day, but never as enjoyable and then your screwed for the next day. So always skip a day! I eat my lyrica in the morning with tea before I get for best results, and continue tea or a warm drink throughout the day, and try not eat until you reach at least your peak with them. Although I have been enjoying them for some time, they now leave me very sick on the I don't have them or if it was to go over a day it would be unthinkable! I have done some really stupid shit to get my lyrica and put myself in some horrible situations. I am all for lyrica and think they are one of the best tablets for anxiety but in the long run they catch up with you and I can only compare the withdrawals to that of heroin or Valium, I know these are opioid's but still the withdrawal is similar and horrible.

Best post I have read on lyrica, spot on lad. Only thing people don't seem to be mentioning is that you need to skip days. Take at least 600mg every second day and I have taking 2400mg or a little more and was fine so they seem very hard to overdose so I wouldn't worry about that.

you need to be taking at least 600mg every second day to get a buzz. Always skip a day! They might not work taking every day so always skip! And the days your on them eat as much as you want :)
