Does exercise really do you any Good?

its more important to stay in motion rather then excersise 3 times a week...

I do love excersise but i think an active/healthy lifestyle is much more important for your well being.

This should be factored into our working society more in my opinion. Working 9-5 and sitting on your ass all day is not good, and boring as fuck too.

^thats me unfortunately. 9-5 Monday to Friday but not boring though its stressful right now but i exercise min. 4 times a week. The gym.(company gym) is right in front of our office building which makes it very convenient.

^I used to do the same thing, except quite often I wouldn't even get paid for it.

nor can you change the consequences of eating substantially more calories than your body uses, even if they are from the healthiest foods.

Is the OP trolling? Exercise is amazingly beneficial to the body in so many different ways. For every species on this planet of ours. It's beneficial for me, my dog, my rabbit, my lizard, my fish...I make sure they all get exercise, and a lot of it. I go out of my way to make sure my pets get exercise, and I get anxiety just thinking about all the irresponsible pet owners who don't give their pets the opportunity to get sufficient exercise. Anyone who reads this, think about your pets, and about your friends pets, and make sure they get more exercise! If they have joint/bone problems or pain, at least make sure they get outside and get fresh air! I know this is a little off topic, but it's about healthy living and exercise...but for animals, our pets, our friends who we rely on to make US feel better. Well they deserve for us to put in the extra effort to make sure they get the benefits of exercise and healthy living as well.

The loser who I get bud from has a dog infested with fleas who has a leg injury and gets barely any exercise, he feeds her french fries and chinese food, the dog is eating and chewing iteslf alive from the fleas and god knows what else is wrong with her. I am very tempted to kidnap the dog (I consider it a rescue mission) and bring it..idk where, I'll worry about that once I get the dog out of that house of horrors. I don't think Animal Control or the ASPCA will do anything because the animal is always indoors and they can't see it, they won't be able to go into the house and take it just based on word of mouth. If anyone knows what I can do to save this poor creature, please PM me. I doubt I will be back on this thread very often. Again PM ME if you know anything I can do to save this animal!

Exercise is having some great benefits like you will always stay active to whole day. Regular exercise and physical activity help's many of the body system function better, keeps heart diseases, diabetes and other diseases away from the body.
Exercise will improve your chances of living longer and healthier.
Prevent you from weight gain and promote the weight loss.
Improves the length of heart lung and muscle fitness.
Improves sleep.

Exercise is better beneficial in moderation, working out and getting in good shape isn't too bad but I have seen some gym addicts and runners that run 20 plus miles a day drop dead as quickly as someone who sits on their behind and becomes obese.

Exercise can help a TON of things... Mentally, physically... Some would argue spiritually...

I have been in the fitness biz most of my life... Started as a personal trainer, then a professional figure competitor ( http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fitness_and_figure_competition ) Then owning a personal training biz, now a fitness studio. Exercise helped me build a business, a sense of accomplishment, a healthy body etc.

i always feel more in control and centered when I am adhering to a consistent routine.

its helped me gain strength, and self esteem

its helped me manage stress

its helped me become a better person, a maniac, ease physical pains, and get me through depression.

Exercise is grounding, therapeutic and a vehicle to learn more about one's limits.

i could go on and on...

yes, it does increase your appetite, and no... U cannot eat whatever u want and exercise it away. Food will catch up with u if u aren't careful.

exercise CAN be overdone... And underdone.

specific questions welcomed lol. I have lots to say about it if anyone has the inkling to ask :)

Ya it'll make you hungry , but with resistance training you build muscle and muscle by itself consumes calories . Doing nothing but cardio isn't the way to go. Your body will just consider the muscle tissue expendable as you don't build it and will just consume that first before it consumes fat. Build muscle and your body won't get rid of it...it'll use the fat instead if you eat properly.
Plus exercise increases mood, improves sleep, basically everything about your life/body. Gotta watch the blood pressure and stay hydrated though. Water, 8 ounces every 20 mins while working out.

exercising is good for toning, but it doesnt really work for weight loss cuz of the muscle ur building

Hell yeah exercise helps. 40 something days sober and been jogging since day 7. Way more motivated now. Release of endorphins is nice
last longer than an organism.
Just started lifting again today....
Can I get a " come on bro, three more" :)

Is this a serious question? Of course it does, besides improving cardiovascular function and blood flow, not to mention the building of muscle, excercise is probably the worlds best anti-depressant. If I don't hit the gym at least three days a week I start to feel slightly depressed and my anxiety comes back full bore. IMO it's quite amazing how many people would be happier if they got out and did a bit more physical activity instead of chomping down SSRI's that prove no stronger than placebo in double blind studies (not saying some people don't benefit from SSRI's). So yeah, excercise is very beneficial.

Everything in moderation. Too much exercise is bad. Too little is bad.

Either way: it doesn't help with your spelling.

Exercise helped you become a maniac?
