Evening all, well and good i hope..

Suprised myself tonight, ive drugs at my disposal, had planned to get nicely fucked, the seed had been sown which usually means its happening regardless.

It hasnt happened, didnt fancy it in the end so im having a straight night mooching about in the documentary thread to find something to watch.
 
If you are after something decent to watch check out a film/documentary kinda thing called Dark Days, really very interesting. A guy goes and lives with homeless people in an abandoned NYC subway tunnel for a while and films it. Music by DJ Shadow too.

People are amazingly resourceful when they need to be.. Ive spent a bit of time working with locals in very poor countries, some of the things they'd salvage and repair just using bits of crap they found was amazing.

Yep, the way people can adapt and sculpt their surroundings to their own benefit/liking is fascinating. Often something amazingly simple can work just as well as a horribly over engineered/priced solution.

I never knew that, Scotchy, that's very admirable of you. What countries did you go to? I bet it made you realise how lucky we are, eh?! I feel very fortunate whenever I see stuff on the TV or read stuff. So very grateful that I was born in a country like the UK.

Yeah a bit like my discussion regarding Bose and sound the other day. We are capable of charging you 2 grand for this sleak and small metal attractive thing that looks flash in your home, but we are also capable of giving you paper cones, distortion, cheap components hidden inside, and we cant give you audiophile accuracy like some brands cheaper and a few more expensive, but your friends and neighbours (Who also no nothing about sound) will be impressed...

It doesnt matter what the situation in life, money helps, but you cant literally just throw money at a problem and expect everything to be ok.

Being resourceful is a solid attribute in life for sure...

Oh Gibsiez isn't the same since Knock left.... I miss Knock. He really n truly cared here.... I miss him a lot n honoured that I knew him. He spent two hours trying to help me once, but he had a way of getting me to see things his way, without arguing with me or being nasty with me.

Life is so very cruel when good people have to die. I miss Knock but at the same time, I am honoured that I had the chance to know him.

morning all!
sorry i couldnt be here last night... thought about doing something weird and druggy but was outvoted by a large meal (beef!) for which i dindt have to pay... so there, my stomach got the better of me
