You no what grates me the most, and thats not a dig at you SM, there are people in this world who have so many other priorities and there budgets are limited that they feel they have no other choice in life than to buy a 19.99 PAYG mobile from Tesco or Argos.

When there are people literally starving in this world, judging people by what mobile they or may not be holding in there hand takes crass to new heights...

You could use that fantastic iphone of yours to text him, or even call him..

We do E-mail n text, he doesn't do phone calls but c'mon man EADD just doesn 't feel right without Raasy here. It's like having a lovely 42 inch TV without the 'on' button. It just doesn 't work :(

.......no disrespect to anyone else , of course!

I was joking. I love Apple but I'd never judge anyone based on what they possess. Raas has a nokia but I'm still his friend:D

Who listens to the safety announcement? They may as well suggest praying for all the good hugging your knees will do you.

I fly a lot and have a set of Sennhesier momentum and they work fine on a plane. At first they were a little uncomfortable but now I have worn in the earpiece they are great. The mrs has a set of NC Bose and she loves them, but they do need to be charged, which I could never be trusted to remember to do.

I love my smartphone when I travel. The ability to scan my ticket from the screen, book my parking and watch movies is awesome. If an apple watch means I can get rid of my wallet or better yet my passport I'll get one in 6 months once they iron out the bugs. My dream would be for such a watch to replace my set of house and car keys, thus releasing the contour of my trouser pants to they way nature intended it to be.

hahahaha

Ah we still have OTW, that's something :D

It wasnt aimed at you my dear, in fact it wasnt aimed at anyone at all, just an observation, we all get so wrapped up in ourselves sometimes, and must have this and must have that. In fact i no people who can afford what ever they want, but dont really see how the newest model of iphone or samsung every year upgraded is of any priority to them. At the end of the day, we are all different.

Ive had my mobile stolen on more than one occasion, uninsured, and not in a position to replace such an expensive item immediatley.

Never would i ever thought id think this, but was probally one of the most liberating feelings of my life, not bleeping and having to talk to people or be at peoples beck and call 24/7. Could go to a bar and plan on going home, because i didnt have people contacting me every five minutes asking me where i am and why dont i come here afterwards etc etc.

What we feel we need and what we actually do need sometimes is totally out of context.

I agree whole heartedly dee... id be lying if i said i didn't get wrapped up in buying crap i don't need, on the whole though im not materialistic...

I've lost many a phone and id have to agree again, once i got over the initial annoyance of losing the phone, i quite enjoyed the peace and the automatic reflex to pull out said phone to look at something or other... smartphones do get on my nerves tbh, if it wasnt so handy for my work id get rid.. the so called social side of them, twitter, facebook etc really fuck me off, as i find them anything but social.. a group of people stood together not saying a word and just gawping at their phone.. occasionally someone will say "look at this cat playing a piano" :)

I wouldnt say im particually materialistic either but i am aware of the damage bullying can do. I remember when i was at school in the 70's and 80's and i wasnt particually the most fashionable kid particually in my younger years, parents didnt have alot of frivolous cash to throw away on luxury items on there child. I didnt walk around with the latest labels or dressed like a sports or pop star idol, or wasnt particully trendy by any means.

Consequently i was singled out and bullied quite alot as a child, all over material possesions, or lack of nice material possessions as percieved.

From about the age of about 14 it started turning me the other way, i started getting very fussy, demanding i have money for xmas and birthday presents instead of presents so i could choose and buy my own clothes, and i do actually still have issues to this day with regarding said subject. I struggle to wear anything unless its designer or whatever, even when i cant afford it. Id rather have one pair of high end jeans that cost £300 than five pairs of normal nice jeans sitting in my wardrobe, even at 43 years old.

Im older and wiser now to no it doesnt make you a better person in any shape or form, but i dont feel actually people realise how damaging things like that can be, particually growing up as a child.

kratom withdrawls are bad. not as much as the first time though but was taking lower doses. it's o.k. atm but idk depends if i get sleep tonight.

See, im quite the opposite, my parents were/are by no means rich, comfortable would best describe them.

Being an only child helped i guess but i wouldn't say i was spoilt, i worked for my treats or perks and no amount of maoning or whinging would help my cause, it would have the opposite effect and would usually see me penalised one way or t'other...

Anyway, providing i was towing the line i could have the latest this or that within reason. So i was usually kitted out in the latest "in thing".

As ive grown older ive cared less and less about designer clobber or owt like that, if i like it and it looks nice its doesnt matter who made it or how much it cost.. I'll still buy expensive clothes every now and then, but because i like the look not so somebody sees my jeans are £200..

Tbh, jeans i am a bit if funny about, i hate the fit of cheap jeans. Anything else, im not arsed as long as it looks good.

I see some people on the rare occasion i go to a local pub and they could be dressed in £1000 worth of clothes and look like a sack of shit.. Sure you already know that though.

Its all very true. I can think of a club i no where it can be quite common for twenty somethings to be wearing the latest Lanvin, Hermes accesories and Balmain, but they still fall out as trashy at 6am and looking just as much a mess as those in a pair or trackie bottoms and reeboks lol.

I just get naturally a bit sensitive and protective when i hear this and that about peoples material things etc, i dread to think what some of the kids must go through today. My situation actually regullary involved violence, just over not fitting in, or dressing like everyone else, not all but some kids (and adults for that matter) can be vile.

Im far from an affluent or wealthy person by any means, but in my local gym where im a member its not uncommon to see what looks like nothing more than 16 year olds boys with real full leather Mullbery bags and girls with Louis Vuitton bags, latest iphone etc, no doubt in my mind its all the real deal.

The pressure to compete or be a part of something is obscene, particually on people so young. Its kinda scary...

People spend £200 on jeans???? WOW, I thought spending £25 on a pair in NEXT was expensive. The most I ever spent on clothes was £95 on some leather trousers, that I hardly ever wore as they never felt right.

well just signed up to Netflix just hope I am around to watch the damn shows guess I should get some kip post in the morning better have my etzi in it drop 10 then hit pig station

Good luck, you ! Will be thinking of you, FG xxxx

Always a bonus. Is it your first time living away from home or?

Yeah, I tend to buy fashionable clothes but I buy them for the look/quality. Sometimes I get irritated by the huge logos on clothes... I don't need to advertise what brand I'm wearing, would rather just have a small logo on it.
